Quantum-light sources based on semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) are promising candidates for many applications in photonics and communication. Important emission characteristics of such emitters, namely the single-photon purity photon indistinguishability, usually assessed via time-correlated measurements using standard 'click' detectors Hanbury Brown Twiss or Hong-Ou-Mandel (HOM-) type configurations. In this work, we employ a state-of-the-art photon-number-resolving (PNR) detection system...

We report on two-photon interference (TPI) experiments using remote deterministic single-photon sources. Employing 3D in-situ electron-beam lithography, we fabricate quantum-light sources at specific target wavelengths by integrating pre-selected semiconductor quantum dots within monolithic microlenses. The individual show TPI visibilities of 49% and 22%, respectively, under pulsed p-shell excitation 80 MHz. For the mutual sources, observe an uncorrected visibility 29%, in quantitative...

We present a highly efficient method for the numerical solution of coupled Gross–Pitaevskii equations describing evolution dynamics multi-species mixture Bose–Einstein condensates in time-dependent potentials. This method, based on moving and expanding reference frame, compares favorably to more standard but much computationally expensive frozen frame. It allows an accurate description long-time behavior interacting, quantum mixtures including challenging problem long free expansions...

We exploit red- and blue-detuned magneto-optical trapping (MOT) of 87Rb benefitting from a simplified setup novel approach based on liquid crystal variable retarders (LCVR). To maintain the forces when switching to MOT, handedness circular polarization cooling beams needs be reversed. LCVRs allow fast control represent compact, simple, cost-efficient components, which can easily implemented in existing laser systems. This way, we achieve type-II MOT for 8.7 × 108 atoms with sub-Doppler...

Saturation curves for a plane-parallel ionisation chamber have been studied in pulsed electron beam of 5.2 MeV initial energy as function voltage, depth and charge density liberated per pulse. It is shown that, if ion losses by diffusion recombination are appropriately considered, the remaining volume can be described Boag's theory (1950).
