We investigate the quasiparticles of a single nodal ring semimetal SrAs$_3$ through axis-resolved magneto-optical measurements. observe three types Landau levels scaling as $\varepsilon \sim \sqrt{B}$, B^{2/3}$, and B$ that correspond to Dirac, semi-Dirac, classical fermions, respectively. Through theoretical analysis, we identify distinct origins these fermions present within ring. In particular, semi-Dirac fermions--a novel type fermion can give rise range unique quantum phenomena--emerge...

Abstract Carbonate reservoir with low permeability is developed using fracturing technology to effectively stimulate the for a higher productivity. However, as carbonate features extreme heterogeneity, not every fracture created equally obtainable through acidizing or proppant. The objective of this study help make decision among acid proppant fracturing, achieve an economically and operationally feasible treatment extensive research field cases on critical factors numerical simulation. An...

Offshore drilling operations consist of complex and high-risk processes. Lack situational awareness in has become an important human factor issue that causes safety accidents. Prolonged work shifts fatigue are some the crucial issues impact performance. Eye tracking technology can be used to distinguish degree or alertness participants might related onsite distractions. Oculomotor activity obtain visual cues quantify operators' enable us develop warning alarms alert driller. Such systems...

Abstract The contribution of Human Factors, in complex commercial and contractual environments like the oil gas industry, is fully-fledged admitted. With understanding that there were cascading failures due to human errors, root cause analysis accidents reveals many them preventable. Factors has not been accentuated thoroughly this and, traditionally, focus on personnel knowledge competence. In addition, lack emphasis academia as a backbone industry could be another reason for negligence....

Virtual reality (VR) enable us to train in a safe environment using computer-generated simulations. One such simulated is the Deepwater Horizon operation, and VR enables evaluate trainees’ operators’ situation awareness (SA) non-hazardous environment. unobtrusive viable SA evaluation method might be use of eye movements, specifically time-ordered visual scan paths. In this research, we investigated how can associated with paths an anomaly detection task within oil drilling rig virtual...

In contrast to the valley-selective Berry curvatures of conduction band monolayer ${\mathrm{Mo}\mathrm{S}}_{2}$, bilayer (2L-) ${\mathrm{Mo}\mathrm{S}}_{2}$ (i.e., in 2H-phase) has vanishing at both K and K\ensuremath{'} valleys due inversion symmetry. When a vertical electric field is applied 2L-${\mathrm{Mo}\mathrm{S}}_{2}$, however, bands are split potential difference restored. Especially, for an electron-doped application together with in-plane bias enables one induce valley...

Abstract Lack of situational awareness in drilling operations has become an important factor causing safety accidents or cause non-productive time. Process is another critical aspect for such high risk and cannot be ignored. A review testimony from offshore rigs worker suggests long working shifts fatigue as one the crucial issues impacting performance. The study here presents results experiments conducted a Virtual Reality Drilling Simulator (VRDS) equipped with eye tracking technology....

We investigated theoretically the quantum optical transition properties of quasi 2-Dimensional Landau splitting system, in ZnO and CdS. apply Quantum Transport theory (QTR) to system confinement electrons by square well potential. use projected Liouville equation method with Equilibrium Average Projection Scheme (EAPS). In order analyze transition, we compare temperature magnetic field dependencies QTLW QTLS on two processes, namely, phonon emission process absorption process.
