Ionic liquid (IL)-functionalized graphene oxide (GO) containing gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) (5.4-5.9 nm) deposited by sputtering combined with cholesterol oxidase appears to be a suitable and efficient biosensor for total detection. Abstract Tantalum oxide nanoparticles prepared from the hydrolysis of 1‐alkyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexachlorotantalate ionic liquids showed an unprecedented efficiency for photocatalytic degradation methylene blue and methyl orange dyes in aqueous solutions.
