In this study, natural clay-like silicate minerals were used as precursors to prepare highly acid-catalytic hydrophobic catalysts. A series of sulfonic acid-functionalized attapulgite catalysts, SO3H-APG, fabricated by the ball-milling–oxidation method. The catalytic performance in co-liquefaction and co-pyrolysis Chlorella oil shale was investigated. catalysts analyzed using hydrophobicity evaluation, TEM, BET, FTIR, other characterization methods. SO3H-APG exhibited good dispensability....

The photocatalytic treatment of NO at ppm-level concentrations for the environment and human health protection has attracted ever-increasing interest in academia industry. Here, hollow ZnCdS nanocage catalysts with different Cd dopings were prepared used to remove under visible light, a high removal rate 85% was achieved. Density functional theory (DFT) theoretical calculations experiments showed that ions could effectively modulate band gap ZnS into visible-light-absorbing range (2.69 eV)....

The conversion of biomass resources into high-value fuels and chemicals using thermochemical methods has become an attractive method energy utilization. In this study, natural minerals were used as raw materials; the acidic sites introduced by ball-milling modification, aldol condensation reaction biomass-based cyclopentanone molecule was carried out under solvent-free conditions. It found that SO3H-APG catalyst—with strong medium-based when -SO3H loading 4 mmol/g—exhibited excellent...
