Abstract Background Nocardia cyriacigeorgica is recognized as one of the most prevalent etiological agents human nocardiosis. Human exposure to these Actinobacteria stems from direct contact with contaminated environmental matrices. The full genome sequence N. strain GUH-2 was studied infer major trends in its evolution, including acquisition novel genetic elements that could explain ability thrive multiple habitats. Results size 6.19 Mb-long, 82.7% CDS have homologs at least another...
Urban activities generate surface deposits over impervious surfaces that can represent ecological and health hazards. Bacteriome genetic structures of washed off during rainfall events, an urban industrial watershed, were inferred from 16 S rRNA gene (rrs) sequences generated by high throughput sequencing. Deposits sampled a 4 year-period detention basin (DB). Major shifts, matching key management practices, in the structure these bacteriomes, recorded. Correlation analyses rrs similarities...
The pathogenic strain Nocardia cyriacigeorgica GUH-2 was isolated from a fatal human nocardiosis case, and its genome sequenced. complete genomic sequence of this contains 6,194,645 bp, an average G+C content 68.37%, no plasmids. We also identified several protein-coding genes to which N. cyriacigeorgica's virulence can potentially be attributed.
Background Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a disorder characterized by dopaminergic neuron programmed cell death. The etiology of PD remains uncertain—some cases are due to selected genes associated with familial heredity, others environmental exposure toxic components, but over 90% have sporadic origin. Nocardia Actinobacteria that can cause human diseases like nocardiosis. This illness lead lung infection or central nervous system (CNS) invasion in both immunocompromised and immunocompetent...
Abstract. The invasion of aquifer microbial communities by aboveground microorganisms, a phenomenon known as community coalescence, is likely to be exacerbated in groundwaters fed stormwater infiltration systems (SISs). Here, the incidence this increased connectivity with upslope soils and impermeabilized surfaces was assessed through meta-analysis 16S rRNA gene libraries. Specifically, DNA sequences encoding V5-V6 regions from free-living attached bacteria (i.e., water biofilm samples) were...
The physical organization of phytobeneficial genes was investigated in the plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium Azospirillum lipoferum 4VI by hybridization screening a bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis gave an estimated 5.7-Mb genome size for strain and coverage level 9 BAC nifH (associative nitrogen fixation) ipdC (synthesis phytohormone indoleacetic acid) are chromosomal, but no clone containing both found, pointing to absence any genetic...

Here, the incidence this increased connectivity with upslope soils and impermeabilized surfaces was assessed through meta-analysis 16S rRNA gene libraries. Specifically, free-living attached bacteria (i.e., water biofilm samples) were characterized upstream downstream SIS,...
Stormwater runoffs are loaded with metals, PAHs, pesticides and pathogenic bacteria, conveyed for many in particulate form. One of the techniques used to manage this contaminated stormwater is use retention basins order allow settling suspended solids. The deposits thus set up represent zones contamination a particular waste. constituted waste that must be managed. objectives paper are: i) characterize sediments basin, ii) identify variability heterogeneity its microbiological, physical,...
