This paper provides length-weight relationships (LWRs) for four freshwater cyprinid fish species, namely Barilius bendelisis (Hamilton, 1807), Bangana dero Chagunius chagunio 1807) and Labeo dyocheilus (McClelland, 1839) from the Kosi River, a tributary of River Ganga in northern India. Altogether 848 specimens were caught bimonthly (for B. bendelisis) quarterly other three species between March 2013 December 2014 using cast nets (9 m length, 9 width 1/2 cm mesh size). LWRs two (B. C....
The present study was undertaken to generate variability in Kinnow (Citrus nobilis Lour × C. deliciosa Tenora) using gamma radiation.Four hundred buds of were irradiated at 30 Gy and budded on rough lemon rootstock February 2007.The resulting 188 MV 1 plants planted the field October 2009 observations trial recorded from 2015 2018.The number bold seed per fruit ranged 0.4 30.8 population raised buds.Out all branches, 6.4% had less than 10.3 fruit, 39.4% 20.3 54.7% more fruit. The average...
Abstract Basic information on length–weight relationships for a number of small indigenous tropical freshwater fish species is still sparse or not available the FishBase. The p resent study reports weight–length four from Ganga River in India. A total 795 fresh specimens Pethia gelius , Corica soborna Parambassis baculis and Aborichthys elongatus were collected different locations along stretches June 2017 to August 2018. r 2 b values ranged 0.949 0.998 2.55 2.849, respectively....
Abstract The river Ganga originates from Gangotri and travels approximate 1,300 km to Vindhyachal, bypassing through a series of dams. Water quality parameters including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, alkalinity, chloride, biological oxygen demand, organic matter, nutrients were studied various centers the Vindhyachal (24 centers). Specific conductivity increased gradually Maneri above barrage area reached maximum at Kanpur as receives industrial domestic effluents near Kanpur....
The study was aimed to explore the effective physical treatment for successful triploidyinduction take advantage of improving growth in coldwater aquaculture candidatefish, rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. Comparison made between two commonphysical treatments viz.,, heat shock and pressure prevent extrusion secondpolar body newly fertilised eggs. Heat given on eggs at threetemperature levels viz., 26, 28 30ºC with four exposure timings 5, 8, 10 12 min.Pressure applied three different i.e...
The Dhule district in Maharashtra faces severe climate change-induced impacts, particularly affecting agriculture and livelihoods. This research aims to propose adaptation measures, recommend mitigation strategies, establish a sustainable framework for resilience-building. Using mixed methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, the study engages local communities stakeholders. Ethical considerations are prioritized, partnerships with organizations like Lupin Human Welfare Research...
Abstract During its course of 2,525 km, the River Ganga flows through variant topography, ecological, and environmental conditions that harbor huge range floral, faunal, fish diversity. The ecological condition biodiversity upper, middle, lower stretches river are different from each other. Increases in anthropogenic activities on have resulted a decrease quality quantity water, which ultimately led to change biodiversity. Menon (1974) listed 141 species occurring system belonging 72 genera,...
Interpretation :To study the breeding performance of indigenous carp, Labeo dero in captivity under cold water condition.Rearing adult fish pond condition, observation gonadal maturity and GSI, standardization optimum dose hormone, recording parameters such as fecundity, fertilization rate, hatching percentage, incubation period, egg size hatchling were studied.-1Single intramuscular synthetic ovaprim @ 0.7 ml kg body weight for female 1 0.3 kg-body male resulted successful spawning L....
The enclosure culture i.e. pen for in situ raising of stocking material was demonstratedin the Loni wetland, a sub-tropical wetland Bundelkhand region central India. Penstocked with 20000 fry Indian major carps (IMCs), catla, rohu and mrigal ratio 1:2:1with initial weight 2.1, 2.83 2.82 g respectively @20 m2. experiment conductedduring September 2018 to November two months. Catla, exhibitedsubstantial difference (p<0.05) growth pattern during study catla growingfrom 2.1±0.21 24.25±2.12 g,...

An attempt was made to advance the spawning period of Labeo dyocheilus (McClelland, 1839) by pretreatment with synthetic gonadotropin releasing hormone analogue, Ovatide. Total 12 females and 24 males (1: 2 ratio) were used for breeding operations conducted during 30th May June 2016 comprising six sets. Female fishes set I IV pretreated intramuscular injection ovatide at rate 0.3 ml kg-1 body weight twice an interval two weeks while injected @ 0.1 once before 15 days induced trial achieving...
