Natural and anthropogenic factors affect soil pollution which significantly reduces environmental quality. In this study, six hazardous elements namely Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Arsenic (As), Cadmium (Cd) Lead (Pb), in 12 different sampling sites around brick kiln vicinity from Bangladesh were assessed. The ranges of Cr, Ni, Cu, As, Cd Pb studied soils 0.77–21.71, 4.74– 27.67, 3.08–38.56, 2.51–28.44, 1.03–8.06 2.23–18.31 mg/kg, respectively. Presence these is indicating a potential risk to...

Context Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) are highly sensitive to elevated salinity, particularly at initial seedling establishment stage. Seedling screening would be an effective means identify novel sources of donors for salt tolerance. Aim This study aimed stress tolerant genotypes stage from 50 chickpea accessions. Methods The accessions was done under two salinity conditions including (8 dS m−1) and control (no stress). Accessions were studied morphological traits, root system architectural...
