Biomass-derived nitrogen self-doped porous carbon was synthesized by a facile procedure based on simple pyrolysis of water hyacinth (eichhornia crassipes) at controlled temperatures (600–800 °C) with ZnCl2 as an activation reagent. The obtained exhibited BET surface area up to 950.6 m2 g−1, and various forms (pyridinic, pyrrolic graphitic) were found be incorporated into the molecular skeleton. Electrochemical measurements showed that carbons possessed high electrocatalytic activity for ORR...

Zero valent iron (ZVI) can activate persulfate to generate sulfate free radicals which are a strong oxidant degrade organic pollutants. The oxidative degradation of aniline in aqueous solution by activated with zero was studied under laboratory conditions. Batch experiments were conducted investigate the effects different parameters such as pH, ZVI concentration, concentration and reaction temperature on degradation. results showed that increased increasing temperature. optimum dosage 0.4 g...

Bacterioplankton community compositions in the Dongjiang River were characterized using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and 16S rRNA gene clone library construction. Water samples nine different sites taken along mainstem three tributaries. In total, 24 bands from DGGE gels 406 clones libraries selected sequenced, subsequently analyzed for bacterial diversity composition of those microbial communities. Bacterial sequences freshwater bacteria exhibited board phylogenetic...
