Driving Simulator, a powerful simulation tool, has already been used in safety evaluation of roadway geometric design during the pre-construction stage. Conventional ways estimating proper sample size include empirical method, resource equation, power analysis, and Bayesian method. However, significant boundaries prior distributions operational indices are hard to identify simulator studies, which makes it difficult use conventional choosing acceptable size. This study proposes an method...

<p>The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection broke out in December Wuhan, and rapidly overspread 31 provinces mainland China on January 2020. In the face of increasing number daily confirmed infected cases, it has become a common concern worthy pondering when will appear turning points, what is final size would be ultimately controlled. Based current control measures, we proposed dynamical transmission model with contact trace quarantine predicted peak...

Conventional timber formworks for concrete slabs are generally less suitable complex geometries and more cost-effective flat, planar designs. Moreover, conventional temporary, non-load-bearing structures that require additional shoring elements to support the weight of wet live loads during onsite casting, resulting in significant labor work costs. To address these challenges, current study presents a novel approach slab construction using 3D-printed (3DPC) formwork integrated with...

Urban-scale traffic monitoring plays a vital role in reducing congestion. Owing to its low cost and wide coverage, floating car data (FCD) serves as novel approach collecting data. However, sparse probe represents the vast majority of available on arterial roads most urban environments. In order overcome problem sparseness, this paper proposes hidden Markov model (HMM)-based estimation model, which condition road segment is considered state that can be estimated according conditions segments...

The effects of high heating temperature and short dwell time on the evolution γ′ precipitates were investigated in two kinds Ni-based superalloys. microstructural evolutions samples characterised by qualitative quantitative metallography during various cycles, dissolution kinetics then evaluated. results illustrated that plays a more predominant role than time. Meanwhile, morphology process was strongly influenced elastic strain energy associated with lattice mismatch between γ phases. For...

Numerous countries are implementing building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) technology to enhance the energy performance of buildings, as new sources have attracted global interest. BIPV residential programs an essential method alleviate stress and promote transition in buildings; however, high level capital investment required hampered their marketization. Although certain obstacles been examined by researchers, there remains a lack studies concerning risk assessment context development...

In this paper, a selective input/output strategy is proposed for improving the life of photovoltaic energy storage (PV-storage) virtual synchronous generator (VSG) caused by random load interference, which can sharply reduce costs device. The consists two operating modes and power coordination control method VSGs. Firstly, VSG input based on magnitude disturbances, offline solving model equation used determine time. An online matching disturbance frequency variations, enables startup method,...

Focusing on the difficulty of detecting sensor fault directly in actual aerospace industrial processing we propose a kind diagnosis method based wavelet transform followed with Hilbert-Huang transform. First, We detect by continuous to posit time accurately. Then make further analysis and obtain more information about signals. Finally, establish second-order model verify control performance through Matlab/Simulink. The results modeling simulation show that is feasible reasonable.

Based on the Steffensen-type method, we develop fourth-, eighth-, and sixteenth-order algorithms for solving one-variable equations. The new methods are converging require at each iteration three, four, five function evaluations, respectively. Therefore, all these optimal in sense of Kung–Traub conjecture; schemes have an efficiency index 1.587, 1.682, 1.741, We given convergence analyses proposed also comparisons with already established known having same order, demonstrating present...
