We have measured Raman spectra of ${\mathrm{CuInSe}}_{2}$ single crystals at room and low temperatures. determined all Raman-active modes. The results are in good agreement with the infrared results, but inconsistent a previous report [J. N. Gan et al., Phys. Rev. B 13, 3610 (1976)]. effective charges estimated from longitudinal-transverse splitting optical-phonon temperature pressure dependences ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}}_{1}$ mode also presented.

We describe three-dimensional optical coherence tomography (3D-OCT) guided bifurcation stenting and the clinical utility of 3D-OCT.Twenty-two consecutive patients who underwent OCT examination to confirm recrossing position after stent implantation in a lesion were enrolled. Frequency domain images obtained check 3D reconstructions performed off-line. The was clearly visualised 18/22 (81.8%) cases. In 13 cases, serial 3D-OCT could be assessed both before final kissing balloon post-dilation...

Recently leading-edge protuberances have attracted great attention as a passive method for separation control. In this paper, the effect of multiple on performance two-dimensional airfoil is investigated through experimental measurement aerodynamic forces, surface tuft visualization, and numerical simulation. contrast to sharp stall baseline with large hysteresis during AOA (angle attack) increasing decreasing, process modified gentle stable. Flow visualization revealed that flow past each...

Proposes a novel visuo-haptic display using head-mounted projector (HMP) with X'tal Vision (Crystal Vision) optics. Our goal is to develop device which enables an observer touch virtual object just as it seen. We describe in detail the design of HMP Vision, very suitable for augmented reality. For instance, makes occlusion relationship between and real environments nearly correct. Accordingly, user can observe his/her hand objects. Furthermore, reduces eye fatigue because low inconsistency...

Developing realistic tactile displays for virtual reality has been challenging. Tangible are increasingly important interfaces not only augmenting the of computer graphics but also conveying graphical information to persons with visual impairments. We propose a display using surface acoustic waves. can continuously change fineness surface's grain by controlling SAWs' burst frequency.

Weight perception has been of great interest for over three centuries. Most research concerned with the weight static objects, and some illusions have discovered. Here, we show a new illusion related to heaviness oscillating objects. We performed experiments that involved comparing two objects identical physical appearance but different gross weights oscillation patterns (vibrating vertically at frequencies 5 or 9 cycles per second symmetric asymmetric acceleration patterns). The results...

The anomalous volume magnetostriction characteristic of Invar alloys was investigated as a link in the Invar-problem. variation with temperature measured on specimens subjected not only to annealing but also cold-work; especially behaviours just below and beyond ferromagnetic Curie were observed. measurements Mössbauer effect for carried out function temperature, influence external magnetic field spectra examined. It confirmed that an Invar-type alloy contains considerable amount...

Geometrical modification of airfoils by leading-edge protuberances has attracted plenty attention as a passive separation control method. In this research, the effect single protuberance with different amplitudes on performance two-dimensional airfoil (NACA 634-021) is investigated through wind tunnel experiment and theoretical analysis. Force measurement shows that all modified demonstrate special two-step stall performance. When first step occurs, lift coefficient drops to medium value...
