Intraoperative neuromonitoring finds widespread application in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, as a preventive method against laryngeal nerves injuries. Today it is possible to monitor the nerve function real time during an operation. In this article based on experience of 1065 operations with intraoperative neuromonitoring, we describe details procedure nerves: features anaesthesia, endotracheal tube position, algorythm trouble shooting case loss electromyographical sygnal. Besides that,...

The amount of thyroid and parathyroid surgeries increases annually. Contemporary diagnostics such a severe complication, as larynx paresis, remains nowadays actual. main diagnostic procedure for paresis is endoscopic laryngoscopy, though it has several disadvantages: this an invasive procedure, causing discomfort to the patients, requires local anesthesia, which may lead allergy; some patients can’t endure because anatomical features. All these factors force find out similar at same time...

A modern classification distinguishes between two nosological entities posing an intermediate risk differentiated and anaplastic carcinoma: poorly thyroid carcinoma high-grade carcinoma. There are currently few studies searching for the preoperative molecular genetic markers of papillary (PTC HG), primarily because a recent WHO reclassification singling out separate entity: follicular cell-derived nonanaplastic Therefore, this work was aimed at identifying PTC HG-specific microRNAs mRNAs...

Results of various surgical techniques application in primary hyperparathyroidism patients were studied. Bilateral neck exploration, unilateral selective parathyroidectomy (conventional and videoassisted) used 297 with hyperparathyroidism. the study showed high efficacy some benefits comparison bilateral exploration (reduced postoperative pain, better cosmetic result, diminished hospital stay etc.).

Laryngeal muscles paresis ranks second in prevalence of postoperative complications after thyroid surgery. Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) results reduction cases with dysphonia and prevents such severe complication as bilateral paresis. Currently there are two types monitoring: intermittent continual. When using IONM surgeon has no opportunity to control electrophysiology state RLN during intervals between stimulations. In case continual date on...

Abstract There is still no consensus for an optimal surgical treatment of primary hyperpararthyroidism (PHPT). Virtually, most the patients could be successfully treated with selective parathyroidectomy (SPTE) based on preoperative visualization. However, this approach has a “blind area” undetected multiglandular disease (MGD). Bilateral neck exploration (BNE) may serve as reasonable alternative but it meets higher requirements technique. A retrospective cohort study was conducted in order...
