A 3D finite-elements model of 45# carbon steel linear friction welding is built with the dynamic explicit code ABAQUS/explicit. The temperature field workpiece, and change center point interface are showed in results. soars to 800°C, but both ends only 400°C or so at 0.75s. A series of experiment were performed to test the tribological properties Si3N4 ceramic pair lubricated by emulsions alkane. The results showed that all alkane are very efficient lubricator for pair. straight chain alkanes can perform better than branched paraffin or polycyclic saturated hydrocarbon. When added liquid with chlorinated Oleic acid, lubrication property become poor. But silicone oil emulsion,the improve further. Base on molecular structure reagents, causative mechanisms is investigated.
