Impact of various ultrasound pretreatment and microwave drying parameters on the qualitative antioxidant characteristics Inula viscosa (L.) was investigated in this study. The leaves were sonicated for 10, 20, 30 min an ultrasonic bath (37 kHz, 150 Watts). Microwave done at three distinct times (1, 3, 5 min) with different power levels (100, 180, 300 dried samples tested color (L*, a*, b*), chlorophyll, carotenoid, total phenol, content. All prepared by infusing them hot water as tea,...

Rotary regenerators are used widely for energy recovery, both in industrial and air-conditioning applications, because of the advantages they have over other types heat exchangers. In this study, a mathematical model design rotary is presented. The method valid all kinds channel geometries that form matrix regenerator can be rotational speeds. validity tested with experimental numerical results available speeds between 0.05 7 rev/min. A good agreement obtained. presented therefore...

This work presents mathematical equations derived from Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for the estimation of dry bulb temperature and specific humidity at outlet a desiccant wheel to predict useful data designers engineers. The neural network model comprises five inputs two output neurons that define conditions (dry humidity) wheel. results obtained by ANN are compared with actual using input variables. show mean absolute percentage errors found be 0.80% 1.56% respectively; correlation...

Capillary tubes are used widely in small refrigeration systems. It is necessary to design the capillary tube, but there does not exist any analytical equation which allows determination of tube length or mass flow rate for all refrigerants. In this work, an derived tubes. The comparison with existing methods and experimentally obtained values using refrigerants R12, R22, R113, R114, R134a, R600a has turned out be satisfactory.
