We report on current–voltage characteristics obtained at room temperature λ-DNA molecules, modified both ends with disulfide groups and spanning Au electrodes. A comparison is drawn between the of λ-DNA, which after modification features a gap 3′ 5′ sites (nicked DNA), where this has been ligated (repaired DNA). We study submicron organic field effect transistors with a pentacene channel, and observe either p-type or n-type behaviour under different gate drain voltage conditions. We show that antilocalization measurements can be used to experimentally study the interactions between InAs surface electrons and local moments of rare earth ions Sm${}^{3+}$, Gd${}^{3+}$, Ho${}^{3+}$ on surface. Magnetic spin-flip scattering spin-orbit accumulation layer are affected by proximity ions. The rate carries information about magnetic interactions.
