The present study examines the relationship between questionnaire measures of social phobia and gelotophobia. Abstract We conducted two studies to investigate whether the degree which people identify with women as a social category affects amusement sexist humor (humor that disparages women) apart from their affective dispositions toward women. Both supported our hypothesis showing male and female participants were more amused by less they identified -- felt psychologically distant category.
