Seven species of forest mushrooms from different regions Poland (edible: Imleria badia, Cantharellus cibarius, Xerocomus subtomentosus, Suillus luteus and inedible by humans but being food for animals: Paxillus involutus, Tylopilus felleus Russula emetica) were analyzed radioisotope activity (Cs-137, K-40, Bi-214 Pb-210) as well concentrations heavy metals (aluminum, chromium, cadmium, manganese, iron, lead, zinc, copper, nickel mercury). The radioisotopes was measured with a gamma...

This study was focused on analyzing the effects of dietary inclusion raw chickpea seed as a replacement soybean meal primary protein source bone structure in broiler chickens. Broiler chickens (n = 160) received their diet either (SBM) or seeds (CPS) throughout whole rearing period 80 each group). On 42th day randomly selected from group 8) were slaughtered. Collected tibiotarsus subjected to examination biomechanical characteristics mid-diaphysis, microstructure growth plate and articular...

The main purpose of the research was to obtain and study hybrid materials based on three different nano-oxides commonly used in cosmetic pharmaceutical industries: Al2O3, TiO2, ZnO, with natural bioactive polysaccharide fucoidan. Since mentioned oxides are largely utilized by industry, there is no doubt that presented studies important from an environmental point view. On basis textural (dynamic light scattering DLS, low temperature nitrogen adsorption, X-ray diffraction analysis XRD,...

Soil contamination level with 239+240Pu of Lublin region was determined using the alpha spectrometric method. Results were compared similar data from study performed 15 year earlier. Decrease in total concentration and reducing quantity Chernobyl fraction (up to almost negligible value 1 %) has been observed upper soil layer. Determination profile layers allows calculating a vertical migration velocity plutonium applying compartment model. It found that rate varies depending on type 0.29 cm...

In the pursuit of environmentally and economically sustainable sewage sludge ash (SSA) management methods, researchers often employ laboratory-made SSA (L-SSA) as a substitute for industrial-made (I-SSA) produced in fluidized bed furnaces. To check whether L-SSA is material that imitates I-SSA well, fractionation metals whose presence significant problem during was performed. addition, grain distribution, specific surface area, textural properties tested materials were examined. Differences...

In this study, we analysed the potential use of dried strawberry leaves and calyces for production nanoparticles using inorganic iron compounds. We used following precursors FeCl3 × 6H2O, FeCl2 4H2O, Fe(NO3)3 9H2O, Fe2(SO4)3 H2O, FeSO4 7H2O, anhydrous. It was discovered that content polyphenols flavonoids in strawberries their antioxidant activity DPPH FRAP were 346.81 µM TE/1 g 331.71 g, respectively, similar to these green tea extracts.
