We report for the first time successful synthesis of palladium (Pd) nanoparticle (NP)-decorated tungsten trioxide (WO3) nanoneedles (NNs) via a two-step aerosol-assisted chemical vapor deposition approach. Morphological, structural, and elemental composition analysis revealed that Pd(acac)2 precursor was very suitable to decorate WO3 NNs with uniform well-dispersed PdO NPs. Gas-sensing results decoration NPs led an ultrasensitive selective hydrogen (H2) gas sensor (sensor response peaks at...

This article presents a review of recent research efforts and developments for the fabrication metal-oxide gas sensors using chemical vapour deposition (CVD), presenting its potential advantages as materials synthesis technique along with discussion their sensing performance. Thin films typically have poorer performance compared to traditional screen printed equivalents, attributed reduced porosity, but ability integrate directly sensor platform provides important process benefits competing...

Improving the electrical and thermal properties of conductive adhesives is essential for fabrication compact microelectronic optoelectronic power devices. Here we report on addition a commercially available resin with double-wall carbon nanotubes graphene nanoplatelets that yields simultaneously improved conductivity. Using isopropanol as common solvent debundling nanotubes, exfoliation graphene, dispersion nanostructures in epoxy resin, obtain nanostructured conducting adhesive conductivity...

Analyte sensitivity for gas sensors based on semiconducting metal oxides should be highly dependent the film thickness, particularly when that thickness is order of Debye length. This dependence has previously been demonstrated SnO₂ and inferred TiO₂. In this paper, TiO₂ thin films have prepared by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) using titanium isopropoxide water as precursors. The deposition process was performed standard alumina sensor platforms microscope slides (for analysis purposes), at...

Insect pests decimate a significant proportion of the world's food supply and transmit number deadly human diseases. These arthropods are generally controlled by spraying broad-spectrum chemical insecticides. However, emergence insecticide-resistant insect populations, as well increasing disquiet about environmental health risks associated with certain agrochemicals, has stimulated search for new arthropod-control strategies. Since primary role spider venoms is to kill or immobilize...
