Abstract The paper describes a design, building and testing low-cost impedance tube for measuring the acoustic parameters of small samples. measurement sound absorption coefficient is based on transfer function two microphone method in accordance with ISO 10534-2 ASTM E 1050 standards. With configuration updates after installation additional microphones apparatus complex material properties can be performed. has been used also as teaching tool.

Abstract The contribution deals with measurement of acoustic absorption coefficient for different single or double-layer materials: cork, two layers polyethylene, polyethylene and felt. was performed on an impedance tube our own construction, using the two-microphone method transfer function (ISO 10534-2: 1998) PULSE measuring system. Values frequencies from 100 Hz to 1600 were determined experimentally. Subsequently, those values processed graphically.
