In order to elucidate the relationship among microstructure, crystallographic orientation characteristics and fracture behavior of pipeline steels at low temperature, three with different microstructures were fabricated by varying cooling rate. Different microstructures, such as high angle grain boundaries(HAGBs), brittle investigated. The study showed that HAGBs had a considerable possibility make cracks deviate greatly from original direction decisive factor in determining features impact...

Developing an L12-strengthened Si-modified A-286 alloy is challenging. Here, we propose a novel strategy to induce L12 phase precipitation in alloys through two-step aging process. It was found that the addition of Si into leads formation nanoscale Ni16Ti6Si7 G-phase during one-step aging, enhancing strength alloy. Subsequently, growth results decrease content matrix, thereby increasing driving force for phase. Consequently, L12-type Ni3(Al, Ti) nanoparticles precipitate and further improve...

Stainless steels are widely used in various industries due to their desirable combination of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. However, stainless was reported seriously on the weld seam areas, it is not exceptive for microbiologically influenced (MIC). In present study, MIC resistance two austenitic (A1, A2 short) a duplex steel (D1 with seams were comparatively studied by measurement average maximum pit depths electrochemical tests. Experimental results showed that depth much...
