Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) vortices in U(N) gauge theories have two layers corresponding to non-Abelian and Abelian fluxes, whose widths depend nontrivially on the ratio of U(1) SU(N) couplings. We find numerically analytically that differ significantly from Compton lengths lightest massive particles with appropriate quantum number.

We give a systematic method to calculate higher derivative corrections low-energy effective theories of solitons, which are in general nonlinear sigma models on the moduli spaces solitons.
