The length–weight relationships (LWRs) were studied for 814 individuals covering eight families and 12 species of fish, e.g., Botia dario, lohachata, Channa orientalis, Esomus danricus, Heteropneustes fossilis, Macrognathus pancalus, Nandus nandus, Ompok pabda, Pethia phutunio, ticto, Trichogaster fasciata lalius captured from the Gajner beel floodplain, northwestern (NW) Bangladesh. Samples collected occasionally catches fishermen November 2014 to October 2015 using different types...
The present study illustrates the first complete temporal variations of sex ratio (SR), length-frequency distributions (LFDs), growth pattern based on length-weight relation (LWR), length-length relationships (LLRs) and physiological status Eutropiichthys vacha in Ganges River, Bangladesh. A total 1386 specimens (male = 652, female 734) were collected from fishers catch during January to December, 2016. For each individual, length (TL), fork (FL), standard (SL) body weight (BW) measured...
ABSTRACT The present study provides the first indication of life‐history traits, including, population structure, growth pattern, condition factor, form factor ( a 3.0 ), size at sexual maturity L m natural mortality M W ) and optimum catchable length opt three Ambassid Chanda nama , Parambassis lala ranga fishes from Mathabhanga River in southwest Bangladesh. A total 370 individuals were occasionally collected August 2017 to July 2018 with cast nets, gill square lift conical‐ box‐traps....
This study records new maximum lengths and provides length–weight relationships (LWRs) for two small indigenous fishes, Corica soborna (Hamilton, 1822) Mystus bleekeri (Day, 1877), from the Ganges River in northwestern Bangladesh. Fishes were sampled sporadically using gill nets cast August 2015 to July 2016. New recorded weere 5.3 cm total length (TL) C. 17.7 TL M. bleekeri. The LWRs highly significant (p < .001) with r2 values >.958. These findings will play a role fisheries resource management.
Our study illustrates the first complete description on population parameters of Corica soborna including sex ratio (SR), length-frequency distributions (LFDs), length-weight relationships (LWRs), length-length (LLRs), condition factors (allometric, K A , Fulton's, F relative, R and relative weight, W ), form factor (a 3.0 size at fist sexual maturity (L m ) natural mortality (M using multi-model indices from Ganges River northwestern Bangladesh. For each individual, total length (TL), fork...
Objective: To describe the diet and feeding ecology of Hemiramphus far (H.far) through investigating stomach contents. Methods: Sampling total 430 individuals H. was carried out from commercial catches landed at West Wharf fish harbor Karachi coast
The river catfish, Eutropiichthys vacha is a vital protein source for rural communities and has high commercial value, but understanding its life history management strategies reveals major inadequacies ambiguities in the riverine ecosystems. Consequently, this study employs multi-models to analyze parameters of E. Ganges River (northwestern Bangladesh) from January December, 2020. total length (TL) body weight (BW) 362 individuals (male = 170, female 192) were measured by measuring board...
Documenting and updating life history traits of wild fish are prerequisite for undertaking any conservation enhancement programme from inland waters. The spotted snakehead Channa punctata (Bloch, 1793) is an important small indigenous food in Asian countries which has high nutritional commercial value. This the first work on describing life-history including growth pattern, condition factors (Fulton’s, KF; Allometric, KA; Relative condition, KR; weight, WR), form factor (a3.0), size at...
Shelter, the second basic need of man, has been a preoccupation for many governments all over world trying to house their growing population. Roof is covering on uppermost part building. not only provides protection buildings from effects weather but also plays an important role in architectural and aesthetic point view. Profiled steel sheet are increasingly used structural application recent years. connected plywood which known as profiled sheeting (PSSPW) system can be alternative...
The Stinging catfish, Heteropneustes fossilis (Bloch, 1974) is a commercially important fish species in Asia. This study describes some biological aspects of H. using total 250 individuals which were captured during July 2017 to June 2018 by various types traditional fishing gears and measured biometric data for each individual recorded results showed that the TL was varied from 10.30 20.50 cm BW ranged 4.42 50.91 g. All LWRs significant ( p 3.00). LLR 0.988. 3.0 , L m M W 0.0063, 12.09 1.09...
