This study examines the mineralogy, texture, and weathering grades of intrusive igneous rocks from northern Pakistan, as well their impacts on physical strength properties. In comparison to felsic rocks, mafic intermediate have lower cumulative proportions quartz, feldspar, plagioclase, higher specific gravity, (i.e., UCS R-value), UPV values. Similarly, samples with anhedral grain shapes, irregular boundaries, fine medium sizes (UD, ANS, CGN) exhibited greater values, compressive strengths...

Long tunnels with significant overburden, changeable geological conditions, a steep gradient, water infiltration, and heavy traffic flow are susceptible to environmental concerns during both construction operation. The availability of fresh air visibility is the most important necessity in excavation for tunnel workers inside phase, as well those crossing Lowari Tunnel’s pollutants were researched. Carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), oxygen (O2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), sulfur (SO2),...

The utilization of dimension stone in construction has been prevalent since ancient times; however, its application modern gained significant attention over the last few decades. This research aimed to assess physical and strength properties volcanic rocks from Kohistan Island Arc for their potential use as stone. Five types andesites (MMA, PMA-1, PMA-2, CMA, FMA) two agglomerates (AG-1 AG-2) were identified based on composition, color, texture. samples characterized terms petrography...
