Nanostructured materials have gained much attention in recent engineering and material- science research due to their unique structural makeup, which stands them out from bulk counterparts. Their novel properties of tiny-size elements (molecules or crystallites, clusters) nanoscale dimensions (1 100 nm) make a perfect material for energy applications. The keen interest nanostructured by academia industrial experts arises the variable characteristics increased electrical thermal conductivity....
We experimentally demonstrate the use of artificial neural network (ANN) to process sensing signals obtained from Brillouin optical time domain analyzer (BOTDA). The distributed temperature information is extracted directly local gain spectra (BGSs) along fiber under test without determination frequency shift (BFS) and hence conversion BFS temperature. Unlike our previous work for short distance where ANN trained by measured BGSs, here we employ ideal BGSs with different linewidths train in...
To evaluate the possibilities for biofuel and bioenergy production Acacia Holosericea, which is an invasive plant available in Brunei Darussalam, was investigated. Proximate analysis of Holosericea shows that moisture content, volatile matters, fixed carbon, ash contents were 9.56%, 65.12%, 21.21%, 3.91%, respectively. Ultimate hydrogen, nitrogen as 44.03%, 5.67%, 0.25%, The thermogravimetric (TGA) results have shown maximum weight loss occurred this biomass at 357 °C pyrolysis 287...
Abstract Hydrogen is a free, limitless, and environmentally friendly resource. To enhance the production performance of hydrogen by photocatalytic water splitting, its preparation application was investigated using carbon‐based materials (graphene, graphite, carbon nanotubes, activated carbon). Photocatalytic processing among most promising strategies for ensuring long‐term energy stability preventing further environmental degradation. The selection co‐catalysts sacrificial agents to support...
