The new accelerator complex N uclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) is assumed to operate using two injectors: the Alvarez-type linac LU-20 as injector for light ions, polarized protons and deuterons a HILac heavy ions. Required beam parameters will be provided three ion sources. First results of source commissioning are presented. Status fore-injector construction described.
The article describes the control system for a laser source of heavy ions. has hierarchical multilevel architecture, determined by structure ion source, and is part systems linear injector entire synchrotron complex. basic requirements general principles its construction, circuitry software solutions selected in accordance with these principles, such as: organization data exchange between individual nodes automated system; determination algorithms working devices subsystems as unified...
During the last years, a comprehensive VME‐based data acquisition system for counter applications was developed. This package called ABLASS (A Beam Loss measurement And Scaling System) is used at GSI heavy ion synchrotron (SIS18), high energy beam transfer lines (HEBT) and connected experiments. To achieve maximum of experimental rate capability to protect sensitive targets from significant intensity peaks, particle distribution within slowly extracted bunched has be qualified. analyze this...
