This work describes the design of an algorithm for detecting apnea episodes, based on analysis thorax respiratory effort signal. Inspiration and expiration time, range amplitude cycle were evaluated. For standard deviation statistical tool was used over signal temporal windows. The validity its performance carried out in 8 records Apnea-ECG database that has annotations episodes. results are: sensitivity (Se) 73%, specificity (Sp) 83%. These values can be improving eliminating artifact records.

Respiratory rate (RR) is an useful vital sign to evaluate a patient's clinical condition. For this reason, algorithm based on linear filter and photoplestimography (PPG) signal presented. This used by the commercial pulse oximeters its record uses non-invasive low-cost optical technique. The characterized low computational cost, which suitable be implemented in devices that have batteries resources such as wereable devices. Its validation was performed using two public databases available...

This letter presents a proposed embedded system for the simultaneous study of sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (SAHS) and related cardiac arrhythmias, which can affect about 1 billion people worldwide. Its objective is to become tool research relational causes these disruptions. It record biomedical signals vital parameters respiratory activity commonly used in clinical practice. The designed be studies, providing greater comfort users by integrating two devices into one. battery powered has...
