The SVOM (Space-based multi-band astronomical Variable Objects Monitor) French-Chinese mission is dedicated to the detection, localization and study of Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) other high-energy transient phenomena. We first present general description French payload composed ECLAIRs instrument, GRB detection MXT follow-up observation in soft X-ray band. Then paper describes more detail design performances finally a status development will be given.
Abstract The Space-based multiband astronomical Variableonboard computing resources. This Object Monitor (SVOM) is a Sino–French space mission targeting high-energy transient astrophysical objects such as gamma-ray bursts. soft X-ray part of the spectrum covered by Microchannel Telescope (MXT), which narrow field telescope designed to localize sources precisely. paper presents methods implemented on board characterize and with MXT. A specific localization method was developed accommodate...
Abstract The Microchannel X-ray Telescope (MXT) will be the first focusing telescope based on a "Lobster-Eye" optical design to flown Sino-French mission SVOM. SVOM dedicated study of Gamma-Ray Bursts and more generally time-domain astrophysics. MXT is compact (focal length ∼ 1.15 m) light (< 42 kg) instrument, sensitive in 0.2–10 keV energy range. It composed an system, micro-pore optics (MPOs) 40 µm pore size, coupled low-noise pnCDD detector. In this paper we describe expected...
