A biosensor was constructed by covalently attaching pyruvate oxidase at the surface of electrodeposited polytyramine. The resulting is sensitive to with a linear calibration plot in concentration range 0.1–3.0 mM pyruvate, slope 0.42 μA mM−1 and detection limit 0.05 (S/N =3). use polytyramine has shown produce stable excellent reproducibility.

Methamphetamine HCl was synthesized using three variations of the hydriodic acid/red phosphorus (HI/Pred) synthetic route.
