An increased risk for preterm birth has been observed among individuals with a previous second stage cesarean delivery when compared those vaginal delivery. One mechanism that may contribute to the following is cervical injury because of extension uterine incision (hysterotomy) into cervix. The contribution hysterotomy rate in subsequent pregnancy not investigated and shed light on underlying relationship between mode birth.
