A series of novel cationic gemini surfactants with diethylammonium headgroups and a diamido spacer were synthesized, their surface bulk properties investigated by tension, electrical conductivity, fluorescence, viscosity, dynamic light scattering (DLS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements. An interesting phenomenon, that is, the obvious decline in tension upon increasing concentration above critical micelle (cmc), was found these surfactant solutions, two explanations...
Three novel anionic sulfonate gemini surfactants, sodium 4,4′-(10,19-dioxo-9,11,18,20-tetraazaoctacosane-9,20-diyl) dibenzenesulfonate (Surfactant I), 4,4′-(12,21-dioxo-11,13,20,22-tetraazadotriacontane-11,22-diyl) II), and 4,4′-(14,23-dioxo-13,15,22,24-tetraazahezatriacontane-13,24-diyl) III), with different lengths of hydrophobic tail have been synthesized, their assembly behavior in the presence bovine serum albumin (BSA) has studied using spectral methods molecular modeling at...
Controlling the structure, morphology, and composition of noble metals is great significance to improve catalytic activity stability catalysts. Herein, we have successfully synthesized self-interconnecting Pt-Cu alloy nanowire networks (NWNs) with controllable compositions via co-reduction metal precursors potassium chloroplatinate (K2PtCl6) CuCl2 sodium borohydride (NaBH4). Owing hydrogen bubbles formed by NaBH4 hydrolysis oxidation as a dynamic template, facile strategy was carried out...
Precise synthesis of polymer particles with topology and surface chemistry spanning from isotropy to anisotropy is critically needed for the fundamental research industrial production. Herein, we report a seed wettability-manipulated emulsion interfacial polymerization precisely synthesize anisotropic Janus spherical heterogeneous nanoporous particles. The variation wettability hydrophobicity hydrophilicity allows topological transition obtained particles, along distribution chemistry. This...
A highly efficient ALHS was constructed based on the non-covalent assembly of fluorescent MSNs and RB in an aqueous environment.
Abstract Four anionic gemini surfactants of the sulfate type C 12 n , where is spacer chain length ( = 3, 4, 6, and 10) were synthesized. The structures these confirmed by FT‐IR, 1 H NMR, ESI mass spectra (ESI‐MS), elemental analysis. surface‐active properties compounds investigated means surface tension, electrical conductivity, fluorescence measurements. Premicellar aggregations found for four surfactants, as revealed conductivity measurement. formation premicellar aggregates may account...
Highly fluorescent and stable CdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots (QDs) coated with gemini surfactant are successfully synthesized in aqueous media. Analyses of luminescence spectrometry, ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectrophotometry, transmission electron micrographs (TEMs) indicate that the water-soluble QDs monodisperse have a enhancement compared original hydrophobic QDs. The shown to be biocompatible, photostable, been proven suitable for live cell imaging.
A fluorophore-free green synthetic strategy was presented for the preparation of stimuli-responsive FSNs, which could be further tuned using N16-TPE-N16.
Various hierarchical Ag microstructures, including sensitive SERS substrate flower-like structures, can be designed and rapidly synthesized under different conditions.
Large-scale, ultra-long AgNBs were prepared via a green approach assisted by CMC for the highly efficient catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol.
Dendritic Au NCs were facilely prepared by a one-pot method at room temperature with the assistance of gemini surfactant.
The preparation of crystalline gold nanowires (NWs) by using gemini surfactants as directing agents through a three-step seed-mediated method is reported. Unlike the nanorods with relatively low aspect ratios (typically below 20) obtained cetyltrimethylammonium bromide agent, NWs in this investigation can reach up to 4.4 μm, and largest ratio calculated be 210. For this, each seven different are utilized agents, length and/or tuned varying hydrocarbon chain lengths surfactants. Both single...
The development of particles that possess different properties has been a long‐thought goal for producing multifunctional materials owing to their combination performance. Herein, aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) gemini surfactant‐assisted preparation shape‐controlled fluorescent hollow silica nanoparticles (AIE‐SNs) is performed directly in water through one‐pot method. incorporated AIE surfactant (C 16 ‐TPE‐C ) not only provides fluorophore the AIE‐SNs but also participates...
Abstract Three derivatived calix[4]crowns were condensed with calixarene segments: 2,6‐bis(bromomethyl)‐4‐methyl‐anisole (BBA) to afford their telomers TCA[4] in rational yields. The binding sites may complex metal ions or amino acids selectively. shows different selectivity comparison monomers, which suggests that segment bridges play an important role ion‐binding. liquid‐liquid extraction experiment showed telomer TCA[4]‐III was excellent receptor for zwitterionic α‐amino and soft cations...
