Abstract: The Paleoproterozoic Lüliang Metamorphic Complex (PLMC) is situated in the middle segment of western margin Trans‐North China Orogen (TNCO), North Craton (NCC). As most important lithological assemblages southern part PLMC, Guandishan granitoids consist early gneissic tonalities, granodiorites and monzogranites, younger to massive monzogranites. Petrochemical features reveal that tonalities belong medium‐K calc‐alkaline series; monzogranites are transitional from high‐K shoshonite...

Abstract Deforestation and intensive land use have accelerated soil erosion, reshaped topography, altered carbon reservoirs for thousands of years. The timing, scope, magnitude long‐term anthropogenic erosion across China are especially important to understand the global scale this process. Here, sediment accumulation rates (SARs) from 191 archives found be temporally correlated with monsoon intensity during 6–40 ka BP, indicating that hydroclimate was main driver in time interval. rapid...

Abstract Xiba granitic pluton is located in South Qinling tectonic domain of the orogenic belt and consists mainly granodiorite monzogranite with significant number microgranular quartz dioritic enclaves. SHRIMP zircon U–Pb isotopic dating reveals that enclaves formed at 214±3 Ma, which similar to age their host (218±1 Ma). The granitoids belong high‐K calc‐alkaline series, are characterized by enriched LILEs relative HFSEs negative Nb, Ta Ti anomalies, right‐declined REE patterns (La/Yb) N...

To better constrain the evolution of early Palaeozoic orogenesis along northern margin Gondwana, we present new petrological, geochronological, and geochemical studies Cambrian–Ordovician granitic gneiss in Dinggye area, central Himalaya. The is medium‐coarse grained, with porphyritic, augen, banded, or gneissic structure, has undergone strong deformation. mineral assemblages are quartz, plagioclase, K‐feldspar, muscovite, biotite, minor amounts accessory minerals. samples characterized by...

The late Archaean witnessed a critical transition of the composition continental crust from predominantly sodic tonalite‐trondhjemite‐granodiorites (TTGs) to combination TTGs and increasing proportion potassic calc‐alkaline granitoids. This shift is also well recorded in Zanhuang Complex located central part North China Craton (NCC). In this work, we present detailed geochemical study these granitoids subdivide them into four groups, that is, TTGs, sanukitoids, crustal‐sourced granitoids,...
