The Litang fault system that crosses the Plateau, a low relief surface at high elevation (~4200–4800 m above sea level) is not affected by regional incision, provides opportunity to study exhumation related tectonics in SE Tibetan Plateau independently of erosion. Combining apatite and zircon fission track with (U-Th)/He thermochronologic data, we constrain cooling history footwall along two transects. Apatite ages range from 4 16 Ma, AHe 2 6 Ma, one age ~99 Ma. These data imply tectonic...

ABSTRACT The incision history of the Three Rivers (Salween, Mekong, and Yangtze) region in Southeast Tibetan Plateau has been linked to both tectonic climatic controls. In this study, we report new apatite (U‐Th)/He fission‐track thermochronology data from >6,000‐m‐high Kawagebo massif, which forms edge high plateau on western flank steepened knickzone reach middle Mekong River valley. Thermal‐history modeling a thermochronological age‐elevation profile shows rapid cooling since ~1.5 Ma...

During the Miocene, several reefs formed in Beikang Basin, South China Sea, which may be potential targets for hydrocarbon exploration. This is due to environment that developed as a result of collision, splitting, and splicing Nansha Block, was influenced by Neogene expansion area. However, studies on types, distribution, controlling factors, evolution stages these are scarce. In this study, we used high-resolution seismic data extensive well-drilling records gain insights into particular...
