Abstract We present the first detailed study of an 8-channel 2×2 mm 2 WSi superconducting microwire single photon detector (SMSPD) array exposed to 120 GeV proton beam and 8 electron pion at Fermilab Test Beam Facility. The SMSPD detection efficiency was measured for time protons, electrons, pions, enabled by use a silicon tracking telescope that provided precise spatial resolution 30 μm protons 130 electrons pions. result demonstrated consistent across pixels different bias currents. We present first results from a dark photon matter search in the mass range 44 to 52 μeV (10.7-12.5 GHz) using room-temperature dish antenna setup called GigaBREAD. Dark converts ordinary photons on cylindrical metallic emission surface with area 0.5 m^{2} and is focused by novel parabolic reflector onto horn antenna. Signals are read out low-noise receiver system. A data taking run 24 days of does not show evidence for this range, excluding mixing parameters χ≳10^{-12} at 90% confidence...

We study the LHC discovery potential in search for heavy neutral leptons (HNL) with a new signature: displaced shower CMS muon detector, giving rise to large cluster of hits forming shower. A Delphes module is used model detector response such decays. reinterpret dedicated long-lived particles decaying endcap detectors minimal HNL scenario. demonstrate that this strategy particularly sensitive active-sterile mixings $\tau$ leptons, due hadronic masses between $\sim 1 - 6$ GeV can be accessed...

We present a recast in different benchmark models of the recent CMS search that uses end cap muon detector system to identify displaced showers produced by decays long-lived particles (LLPs). The exceptional shielding provided steel between stations drastically reduces Standard Model background limits other existing ATLAS and searches. At same time, using as sampling calorimeter, is sensitive LLPs energies rather than masses. show that, thanks these characteristics, this new approach masses...

Long-lived particles (LLPs) are highly motivated signals of physics Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) with great discovery potential and unique experimental challenges. The LLP search programme made advances during Run 2 Large Hadron Collider (LHC), but many important regions signal space remain unexplored. Dedicated triggers crucial to improve searches, their development expansion is necessary for full exploitation new data. public discussion has therefore been a relevant theme in recent...

We report the first demonstration of using Quantum Instrumentation and Control Kit (QICK) system on RFSoC-FPGA technology to drive electro-optic intensity modulator that generate time-bin entangled photon pairs detect signals. With QICK system, we achieve high levels performance metrics including coincidence-to-accidental ratio exceeding 150, entanglement visibility 95%, consistent with achieved conventional waveform generators. also demonstrate simultaneous detector readout digitization...
