We report a new search of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) using the combined low background data sets in 2016 and 2017 from PandaX-II experiment China. The latest set contains exposure 77.1 live day, with reduced to level 0.8$\times10^{-3}$ evt/kg/day, improved by factor 2.5 comparison previous run 2016. No excess events were found above expected background. With total 5.4$\times10^4$ kg most stringent upper limit on spin-independent WIMP-nucleon cross section was for WIMP mass...

Abstract Lepton scattering is an established ideal tool for studying inner structure of small particles such as nucleons well nuclei. As a future high energy nuclear physics project, Electron-ion collider in China (EicC) has been proposed. It will be constructed based on upgraded heavy-ion accelerator, High Intensity Accelerator Facility (HIAF) which currently under construction, together with new electron ring. The proposed provide highly polarized electrons (with polarization ∼80%) and...
Global polarization of $\Lambda$ hyperons has been measured to be the order a few tenths percent in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}$ = 200 GeV, with no significant difference between and $\bar{\Lambda}$. Abstract The possibility that neutrinos may be their own antiparticles, unique among the known fundamental particles, arises from symmetric theory of fermions proposed by Ettore Majorana in 1937 1 . Given profound consequences such neutrinos, which is a potential explanation for matter–antimatter asymmetry universe via leptogenesis 2 , nature commands intense experimental scrutiny globally; one primary probes neutrinoless double beta (0 νββ ) decay. Here we show results search 0 decay 130...

Abstract High-energy nuclear collisions provide a unique site for the synthesis of both nuclei and antinuclei at temperatures k T ≈ 100 − 150 MeV. In these little bangs transient collisions, quark-gluon plasma (QGP) nearly vanishing viscosity is created, which believed to have existed in early universe within first few microseconds after Big Bang. Analyses identified particles produced based on statistical hadronization model QGP suggested that light (anti)nuclei are from as other hadrons...
