Gametophytes of the Pteridaceae are moderately well known but there is still a quite large set species to describe. Among these Doryopteris triphylla, member cheilanthoid clade (subgroup hemionitids). The main objective this work describe gametophyte D. triphylla. In vitro cultures were prepared with spores coming from various sporophytes different locations. vivo observations done periodically monitor developmental critical events and reproductive activity. Germination followed Vittaria...

Stomata are very conserved structures in plants, which allows and control the gas exchange. This ecophysiological fact appears to be critical ecology adaptation of plants environment. Plant individuals can, among other issues, adjust size density stomata adapt themselves hydric, thermic light regimes. In turn, this led reduction transpiration water losses, is crucial areas with Mediterranean climate. The fern Osmunda regalis has populations both biogeographical regions Iberian Peninsula...

The gametophytes of the Athyriaceae are not very well known, such as Diplazium caudatum. aim this work is to analyze gametophytic phase species, which includes germination study, morphological development and reproductive phase. Spores belonging two different sporophytes from La Gomera, Spain, were mixed sown in multisporic cultures. Plates have been cultured chambers with nutritive agar at 25ºC 12 hours photoperiod. was registered every three days, main vegetative checked throughout...

The gametophytic generation of Amblovenatum immersum and Christella subpubescens (Thelypteridaceae), including spore germination, morphological development the gametophytes, major vegetative features reproduction strategies, was studied. For both species, germination Vittaria type developmental pattern Drynaria type. Adult gametophytes were cordate hairy, with unicellular secretory hairs located in margins ventral dorsal surfaces prothalli. C. has another acicular only margin prothallus....
