The low-lying spectra of 8He and 10He nuclei were studied in the 3H(6He, p)8He 3H(8He, p)10He transfer reactions. 0+ ground state (g.s.) excited states, 2+ at 3.6–3.9MeV (1+) 5.3–5.5 MeV, populated with cross sections 200, 100–250, 90–125 μb/sr, respectively. Some evidence for a about 7.5 MeV was obtained. We discuss possible nature near-threshold anomaly above 2.14 relate it to population 1− continuum (soft dipole excitation) peak value 3 MeV. lowest energy group events spectrum observed ∼3...
Mass measurements of the $^{69}$As, $^{70,71}$Se and $^{71}$Br isotopes, produced via fragmentation a $^{124}$Xe primary beam at FRS GSI, have been performed with multiple-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MR-TOF-MS) Ion Catcher an unprecedented resolving power almost 1,000,000. For $^{69}$As isotope, this is first direct measurement. A uncertainty 22 keV was achieved only 10 events. $^{70}$Se 2.6 obtained, corresponding to relative accuracy $\delta$m/m = 4.0$\times 10^{-8}$, less...
The 0+ ground state of the 10He nucleus produced in 3H(8He,p)10He reaction was found at about $2.1\pm0.2$ MeV (\Gamma ~ 2 MeV) above three-body 8He+n+n breakup threshold. Angular correlations observed for decay products show prominent interference patterns allowing to draw conclusions structure low-energy excited states. We interpret as a coherent superposition broad 1- having maximum energy 4-6 and 2+ 6 MeV, setting both on top "tail". This anomalous level ordering indicates that breakdown...
The rare $\ensuremath{\beta}$-decay channel of $^{6}\mathrm{He}$ into the $\ensuremath{\alpha}+d$ continuum was investigated at REX-ISOLDE facility. Bunches postaccelerated ions were implanted optical time projection chamber (OTPC), where decays with emission charged particles recorded. This novel technique allowed us to extend low-energy end spectrum down 150 keV in center mass, corresponding a deuteron energy 100 keV. branching ratio for this process amounts...
Abstract Studies of radioactive ions (RIs) are the most thriving field low-energy nuclear physics. In this paper, concept and scientific agenda prospective accelerator storage ring facility for RI beam (RIB) research proposed a large-scale international project based at Flerov Laboratory Nuclear Reactions Joint Institute Research. The motivation new is discussed its characteristics briefly presented shown to be comparable those advanced world centers, so-called “RIB factories”. project,...
By using the 1H(6Li, 6Be)n charge-exchange reaction, population of continuum states in 6Be was observed up to ET=16MeV, ET being energy above its three-body decay threshold. In kinematically complete measurements performed by detecting α+p+p coincidences, an spectrum high statistics obtained, containing approximately ∼5×106 events. The provides detailed correlation information about well-known 0+ ground state at ET=1.37MeV and 2+ ET=3.05MeV. Moreover, a broad structure extending from 4 16...
The most-remote from stability isotope $^{31}$K, which is located four atomic mass units beyond the proton drip line, has been observed. It unbound in respect to three-proton (${3p}$) emission, and its decays have detected flight by measuring trajectories of all decay products using micro-strip detectors. $3p$-emission processes studied means angular correlations $^{28}$S+3$p$ respective vertexes. energies previously-unknown ground excited states $^{31}$K determined. This provides $3p$...
The H7 system was populated in the H2(He8,He3)H7 reaction with a 26 AMeV He8 beam. missing mass energy spectrum, H3 and angular distributions decay frame were reconstructed. spectrum shows peak, which can be interpreted either as unresolved 5/2+ 3/2+ doublet or one of these states at 6.5(5) MeV. data also provide indications 1/2+ ground state located 1.8(5) MeV quite low population cross section ∼25 μb/sr within range θc.m.≃(17°–27°).Received 25 June 2019Revised 13 September...
The extremely neutron-rich system $^{7}$H was studied in the direct $^2$H($^8$He,$^3$He)$^7$H transfer reaction with a 26 AMeV secondary $^{8}$He beam [Bezbakh et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 124 (2020) 022502]. missing mass spectrum and center-of-mass (c.m.) angular distributions of $^{7}$H, as well momentum distribution $^{3}$H fragment frame, were constructed. In addition to investigation reported Ref. 022502], we carried out another experiment same but modified setup, which cross-checked by...
The unknown isotope 26 S , expected to decay by two-proton (2p) emission, was studied theoretically and searched experimentally. structure of this nucleus examined within the relativistic mean field (RMF) approach. A method for taking into account many-body in three-body calculations developed. results RMF were used as an input three-cluster model optimized study a possible 2p branch nucleus. experimental search performed fragmentation 50.3 MeV 32 beam. No events particle-stable or 25 P (a...
Several states of proton-unbound isotopes $^{30}\mathrm{Ar}$ and $^{29}\mathrm{Cl}$ were investigated by measuring their in-flight decay products, $^{28}\mathrm{S}$ + proton proton, respectively. A refined analysis $^{28}\mathrm{S}$-proton angular correlations indicates that the ground state is located at $2.{45}_{\ensuremath{-}0.10}^{+0.05}$ MeV above two-proton emission threshold. The investigation mechanism demonstrates it has transition dynamics. In ``transitional'' region, correlation...
The extremely neutron-rich system $^{6}$H was studied in the direct $^2\text{H}(^8\text{He},{^4\text{He}})^{6}$H transfer reaction with a $26 A$ MeV secondary $^{8}$He beam. measured missing mass spectrum shows broad bump at $\sim 4-8$ above $^3$H+$3n$ decay threshold. This can be interpreted as resonant state $6.8(5)$ MeV. population cross section of such presumably $p$-wave (or may few overlapping states) energy range from 4 to 8 is $d\sigma/d\Omega_{\text{c.m.}} \simeq 190^{+40}_{-80}$...
The $^{6}\mathrm{Be}$ continuum states were populated in the charge-exchange reaction $^{1}\mathrm{H}(^{6}\mathrm{Li},^{6}\mathrm{Be})n$ collecting very high statistics data ($\ensuremath{\sim}5\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ events) on three-body $\ensuremath{\alpha}+p+p$ correlations. excitation energy region below $\ensuremath{\sim}3\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\mathrm{MeV}$ is considered, where are dominated by contributions from ${0}^{+}$ and ${2}^{+}$ states. It demonstrated...
Prospects of experimental studies argon and chlorine isotopes located far beyond the proton dripline are studied by using systematics cluster models. The deviations from widespread observed in $^{28,29}\mathrm{Cl}$ $^{29,30}\mathrm{Ar}$ have been theoretically substantiated, analogous predicted for lighter isotopes. limits nuclear structure existence Ar Cl isotopic chains, with $^{26}\mathrm{Ar}$ $^{25}\mathrm{Cl}$ found to be lightest sufficiently long-living systems.
