Abstract Studies of radioactive ions (RIs) are the most thriving field low-energy nuclear physics. In this paper, concept and scientific agenda prospective accelerator storage ring facility for RI beam (RIB) research proposed a large-scale international project based at Flerov Laboratory Nuclear Reactions Joint Institute Research. The motivation new is discussed its characteristics briefly presented shown to be comparable those advanced world centers, so-called “RIB factories”. project,...
Abstract In this paper, a model describing semiconductor photocathode's charge dynamics under an external influence in RF photoinjector is being developed. The drift-diffusion problem for conduction electrons layer of photocathode formulated and subsequently solved. the derived shortly discussed. Data obtained from qualitative consistency with that by Krasilnikov et al. PITZ photogun.
The possibility of using a radio frequency undulator field to accelerate high intensity ion beam in linac is discussed. Such an accelerator can be realized the periodical interdigital H-type resonator structure. accelerating force produced by electric which combination two or more spatial harmonics, none them being synchronous with beam. value this proportional squared charge. equations motion Hamiltonian form are derived means smooth approximation. analysis 3D effective potential function...
The acceleration of electrons in laser-plasma channels is one the contemporary ideas on energy frontier accelerators. Demands low spectrum and emittance are especially important for discussed colliders light sources based plasma channels. idea to use a accelerator as injector these installations instead traditional RF linacs looks like very perceptive way replace conventional linac-injector or linac-driver by compact system. Therefore, new results beam dynamics simulations channel having...
The new accelerator complex N uclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) is assumed to operate using two injectors: the Alvarez-type linac LU-20 as injector for light ions, polarized protons and deuterons a HILac heavy ions. Required beam parameters will be provided three ion sources. First results of source commissioning are presented. Status fore-injector construction described.
