Clinical Relevance Tooth bleaching results obtained with different techniques (home bleaching, in-office or without light source and a combination of + home bleaching) were similar after two-week period. Dentists must inform their patients about the expected outcomes each procedure provide an evidence-based choice.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the growth mangrove oyster Crassostrea gasar cultured in marine and estuarine environments. Oysters were for 11 months a longline system two study sites - São Francisco do Sul Florianópolis -, state Santa Catarina, Southern Brazil. Water chlorophyll-α concentration, temperature, salinity measured weekly. oysters monthly (shell size weight gain) assess growth. At end culture period, average wet flesh weight, dry shell determined, as well distribution...
This study evaluated the effects of dietary supplementation organic acids blend (OAB) alone or in combination with essential oil, Lippia origanoides (OAE) for Nile tilapia fed supplemented diets 30 days. Fish (1.1 ± 0.04 g) were control (Control), OAB 0.5% + oil 0.125% respectively. At end experiment, samples collected de hemato-immunological, histological analysis intestine and liver, as well microbiology intestine. The pH OAE reduced 0.92 0.19 growth FCR unaffected by treatments, but...
The study evaluated the effects of probiotic BioPlus® PS on shrimp-tilapia polyculture pond soil using an integrated approach physical-chemical analysis, metagenomics, and Pfeiffer circular chromatography. Soil was collected from a shrimp farm immediately after harvest distributed in 75 plastic boxes with useful volume 1 L. applied once at following doses triplicate: 0, 150, 300, 1000 2000 g ha−1. After fifteen days, we verified significant reduction content organic matter, oxidizable carbon...
The inexistence of nutritionally adequate diets in paralarval rearing is the main bottleneck for commercial production common octopus Octopus cf. vulgaris. We report feeding behavior O. vulgaris Type II paralarvae fed on Artemia sp (0.1 individual. mL-1) nauplii enriched with microalgae Isocrysis galbana and Pavlova lutherimicroalgae from 0 to 7 Day After Hatching (DAH).; metanauplii DHA SELCO® lipid emulsion 8 DAH. showed active swimming predation by 14 DAH, most superficial portion water...
Abstract: Aim The increment of decomposition organic matter in sediment samples from Nile tilapia farms was evaluated with the introduction Bacillus subtilis and B. licheniformis bacteria. Methods Sediment placed 18L plastic boxes received single dose inoculum following concentrations: 1.21 x 106 CFU g-1 (equivalent to 75 g ha-1), 2.41 150 4.82 300 ha-1) 1.61 107 1000 addition a control treatment saline solution only. Organic content, total carbon (TOC) oxidizable (OOC), nitrogen (TN),...
