Indigo carmine in aqueous solution was effectively degraded using ZnO-Bi2O3/Graphitic Carbon Nitride heterojunction structure by visible light/H2O2 system. The mechanism of photocatalytic degradation shows the responsible species for ZnO-Bi2O3-xC3N4/H2O2/visible light system (x = 0, 1, 2, and 3) is hydroxyl radicals which were generated from reaction e− h+ with H2O2. Under optimal conditions, ZnO-Bi2O3-2C3N4/H2O2/Vis more than 93% 180 min. Besides, kinetic process detailed. These results...
Novel photocatalysts in the form of zinc oxide‐zinc bismuth oxide (mixed‐metal [MMO]) and graphitic carbon nitride (CN) hybrid composites are developed via a co‐precipitation method followed by calcination at 520 °C. The as‐prepared MMO‐CN evaluated on basis their photocatalytic activities for Rhodamine B (RhB) aqueous solutions under visible light irradiation. strong electronic coupling between two components within heterostructure, which suppresses photogenerated recombination electrons...
Neurodegeneration is the progressive loss of structure or function neuronal cells and ultimately neurons by death, particularly in neuropsychiatric disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s diseases...This study was conducted to evaluate improvement cognitive deficit related mechanism leaf extract Ilex kudingcha C.J.Tseng (IKE) on a mice model trimethyltin (TMT)-induced neurodegeneration. Male Swiss albino were orally administered IKE (at doses 270 540 mg/kg) distilled water...
Abstract Novel highly visible‐light active ZnBi 2 O 4 ‐Bi S 3 photocatalysts with various weight percentages of Bi have been synthesized by a simple two‐step co‐precipitation and hydrothermal method. The efficacy the as‐prepared composites was evaluated for degradation Indigo carmine in aqueous solutions under visible light irradiation. It found that showed greatly enhanced photocatalytic activities as compared to pristine light, which could be attributed synergetic effects, charge transfer...
The ability of mangroves in taking up and storing heavy metal (HM) helps reducing HM pollution. However, HMs likewise adversely affect the growth mangroves. We assess effects long-term soil enrichment on Rhizophora apiculata forest Can Gio Mangrove Forest (Southern Vietnam) different environmental conditions salinity, ground elevation, tree density based a novel set measured data. These data were analyzed used to calibrate validate for model with influencing factors density, metals content....
In this study, the performance of poly(layered double hydroxides) [poly(LDHs)] beads as an adsorbent for arsenate removal from aqueous solution was investigated. The poly(LDHs) were prepared by immobilizing LDHs into spherical alginate/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-glutaraldehyde (spherical polymer beads). Batch adsorption studies conducted to assess effect contact time, pH, initial concentrations and co-existing anions on performance. potential reuse these also Approximately 79.1 91.2% arsenic...
Using a simple, low cost, and excellent efficient approach, carbon dots (CDs) were fabricated via one-pot hydrothermal process of coffee waste. Amazingly, the combination 2% CDs with ZnBi2O4 to form new heterogeneous photocatalyst enabled complete decomposition 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2, 4-D) into CO2 H2O. The findings this study provide perspective on utilization agricultural waste for creating products scientific practical significance. More than 91% 4-D (initial concentration 30...
Abstract Artichoke has been well known as a traditional medicine because of its phenolic compounds. In this study, solid‐liquid extraction, ultrasound‐assisted and enzyme‐assisted extraction were used to extract cynarine chlorogenic acid from dry artichoke leaves. the optimum experimental parameters: Enzyme concentration 5.2 U/mL, pH 4.6, incubation 29°C, yield determined be 156.3 ± 2.3 mg/kg, 19.8 1.4 mg/kg material, respectively, which not significantly with predicted value (154.5 for...
A superior heterojunction of HC-ZnBi-LDO was synthesized in two steps, namely hydrothermal carbonization, followed by co-precipitation. The 2% photocatalysts could degrade over 90.8% 30 mg/L 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) using 1.0 g/L the catalyst after 135 min visible light exposure at pH 4. activity HC-ZnO-LDO remarkably stable. Approximately 86.4-90.8% 2,4-D degraded, and more than 79-86.4% TOC mineralized 4 during four consecutive cycles. rapid separation migration charge...
Abstract BACKGROUND Photodegradation through an advanced oxidation process gives promising prospects for environmental protection. Although titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) is considered as excellent photonic material candidate, however, the band gap of TiO 3.2 eV which limits its effective applications. Various approaches have been developed enhancing utilization such coupling with other narrow bandgap semiconductors and metal ions. We a novel ytterbium (Yb), erbium (Er), cerium (Ce)‐codoped...
The size-dependent properties of optical quantum dots (QDs), such as broad excitation spectra; narrow, tunable, and symmetric emission high resistance to photo-bleaching lead them be a promising candidate for optosensing diverse targets, including metal ions, drugs, biochemical compounds, pathogenic bacteria. Here, we report on the recent developments synthetic functionalized methods preparing cadmium (Cd)-based QDs. We discuss their surface modification toxicity. In particular, focus how...
