Abstract Ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions create a strongly interacting state of hot and dense quark–gluon matter that exhibits remarkable collective flow behavior with minimal viscous dissipation. To gain deeper insights into its intrinsic nature fundamental degrees freedom, we determine the speed sound in an extended volume plasma using lead–lead (PbPb) at center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair 5.02 TeV. The data were recorded by CMS experiment CERN LHC correspond to integrated...
A novel scheme for utilizing the regular structure of three neighborhood additive cellular automata (CAs) pseudoexhaustive test pattern generation is introduced. The vector space generated by a CA can be decomposed into several cyclic subspaces. cycle corresponding to an m-dimensional subspace has been shown pseudoexhaustively n-input circuit (n>or=m). Such supply (m-1) bit exhaustive including all-zeros (m-1)-tuple. Schemes have reported specifying how one or more subsets cell positions...
Abstract “Soft” muons with a transverse momentum below 10 GeV are featured in many processes studied by the CMS experiment, such as decays of heavy-flavor hadrons or rare tau lepton decays. Maximizing selection efficiency for these muons, while simultaneously suppressing backgrounds from long-lived light-flavor hadron decays, is therefore important success physics program. Multivariate techniques have been shown to deliver better muon identification performance than traditional techniques....
A test of lepton flavor universality in B$^{\pm}$ $\to$ K$^{\pm}μ^+μ^-$ and K$^{\pm}$e$^+$e$^-$ decays, as well a measurement differential integrated branching fractions nonresonant decay are presented. The analysis is made possible by dedicated data set proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV recorded 2018, the CMS experiment LHC, using special high-rate stream designed for collecting about 10 billion unbiased b hadron decays. ratio $\mathcal{B}$(B$^{\pm}$ K$^{\pm}μ^+μ^-$) to...
An inclusive search for long-lived exotic particles (LLPs) decaying to final states with a pair of muons is presented. The uses data corresponding an integrated luminosity 36.6 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the CMS experiment from proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13.6 TeV in 2022, first year Run 3 CERN LHC. experimental signature oppositely charged originating common vertex spatially separated interaction point distances ranging several hundred $\mu$m meters. sensitivity benefits new...
The orientation of the fractures and stresses within coal seams plays a critical role in gas production from coalbed methane reservoirs. In this study, we used resistivity images sonic logs to investigate these parameters, aiming (1) establish relationship between fracture orientations polarization angles fast shear waves (2) detect active seam. Shear anisotropic formations are split into slow components, with Alford’s rotation method determine wave. We found that wave aligns direction...
The Large Hadron Collider at CERN, delivering proton-proton collisions much higher energies and far luminosities than previous machines, has enabled a comprehensive programme of measurements the standard model (SM) processes by CMS experiment. These unprecedented capabilities facilitate precise properties wide array processes, most fundamental being cross sections. discovery Higgs boson measurement its mass became keystone SM. Knowledge allows precision comparisons predictions SM with...
A bstract The results of a model-independent search for the pair production new bosons within mass range 0 . 21 < m 60 GeV, are presented. This study utilizes events with four-muon final state. We use two data sets, comprising 41 5 fb − 1 and 59 7 proton-proton collisions at $$ \sqrt{s} s = 13 TeV, recorded in 2017 2018 by CMS experiment CERN LHC. set includes displaced...
We present an analysis based on models of the intrinsic transverse momentum partons in nucleons by studying dilepton Drell-Yan events. Using parameter tuning event generators and existing data from fixed-target experiments, Tevatron, LHC, our investigation spans three orders magnitude center-of-mass energy two invariant mass. The results show energy-scaling behavior parameters, independent mass at a given energy.
This paper reviews monolithically integrated CMOS voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) for wireless communications. The key challenges in VCO development include: design of a high Q tank on substrate tailored CMOS, multiband operation using single VCO, enhanced manufacturability digital frequency tuning, and optimization the overall topology low power operation. Recent developments each these areas are examined comparison various topologies versus figure merit (FOM) is presented.
Ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions create a strongly interacting state of hot and dense quark-gluon matter that exhibits remarkable collective flow behavior with minimal viscous dissipation. To gain deeper insights into its intrinsic nature fundamental degrees freedom, we extracted the speed sound in this medium created using lead-lead (PbPb) at center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair 5.02 TeV. The data were recorded by CMS experiment CERN LHC correspond to an integrated luminosity 0.607...
A study of the anomalous couplings Higgs boson to vector bosons, including $CP$-violation effects, has been conducted using its production and decay in WW channel. This analysis is performed on proton-proton collision data collected with CMS detector at CERN LHC during 2016-2018 a center-of-mass energy 13 TeV, corresponds an integrated luminosity 138 fb$^{-1}$. The different-flavor dilepton (e$\mu$) final state analyzed, dedicated categories targeting gluon fusion, electroweak associated W...
