Overpotential and ac impedance spectra were measured to construct a model describe porous (SSC) cathodes for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Analysis of the revealed that there are three processes involved in overall electrochemical reaction; (i) adsorption/desorption process on surface electrode, (ii) ionic conduction bulk SSC, (iii) diffusion oxygen gas phase. It was found air atmosphere, reaction dominant, while gaseous fast enough not limit rate. A SSC used SOFCs proposed determine...

This study investigated the characteristics of hydrogen-related crack propagation in low carbon lath martensite steel through orientation analysis using electron backscattering diffraction. The revealed that fracture surface consisted {011}M facets, which were also parallel to block boundaries or structure. In addition, micro-cracks observed on vicinity prior austenite grain boundaries. On basis experimental results, we proposed hydrogen enhanced local plastic deformation occurred mechanism...

Phase transformations during heating of β-crystallized isotactic polypropylenes were investigated by simultaneous SAXS, WAXD, and DSC measurements. The polypropylene samples containing the larger amount β-form crystals prepared a temperature-gradient method or with used nucleating agent. deconvolution analysis successfully reproduced duplicated endotherms exotherms for both samples, considering WAXD SAXS changes heating. obtained results indicated characteristic phase heating, including...

Abstract In a bulk solid, optical control of atomic motion provides better understanding its physical properties and functionalities. Such studies would benefit from active visualization motions in arbitrary directions, yet, so far, mostly only one-dimensional has been shown. Here we demonstrate novel method to optically visualize two-dimensional solid. We use femtosecond laser pulse coherently superpose two orthogonal crystalline bismuth. The relative amplitudes those are manipulated by...

Abstract The effects of several-hundred-hour mechanical-mortar dry grinding kaolinite were studied by X-ray, thermal, electron microscopic and other methods. It has been found that there are two sorts structural change in the process kaolinite. One is production a non-crystalline substance attended disordering crystalline part, reaggregation process. reduction particle size connected to reaggregation. In certain stage grinding, reaggregates spherical particles which have zeolitic structure....

We recently reported that single duplex DNA, with the size above order of several tens kilobase pairs, undergoes a large discrete transition from an elongated coil into collapsed globule addition cationic surfactant. In present article, we describe manner unfolding compact long or complexed surfactants, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and distearyldimethylammonium (D18DAB), as is induced by sodium bromide. The conformational dynamics individual T4DNA molecules was directly observed use...
