Abstract The crystal structure of [Cu 2 ( μ- O)( μ -I) (CNXyl) 4 ]·I ·I ) was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. adduct represents the first example structurally characterized isocyanide-copper(II) complexes. In , forms independent chains connected through molecular iodine via I···I–I···I halogen bonding. DFT calculations and topological analysis electron density distribution within formalism Bader’s theory (QTAIM method) were performed for model complex obtained results...
CuI-catalyzed cycloaddition (CA) of the ketonitrones, Ph2C═N+(R′)O– (R′ = Me, CH2Ph), to disubstituted cyanamides, NCNR2 (R Me2, Et2, (CH2)4, (CH2)5, (CH2)4O, C9H10, (CH2Ph)2, Ph(Me)), gives corresponding 5-amino-substituted 2,3-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazoles (15 examples) in good moderate yields. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions (CH2Cl2, RT or 45 °C) and requires 10 mol % [Cu(NCMe)4](BF4) as catalyst. somewhat reduced yields are due individual properties 2,3-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazoles,...
Two adjacent Cu I -bound isocyanide groups exhibit nucleophilic properties induced by a π-donating d 10 [Cu ] center and function as an integrated two-center halogen bond acceptor forming bifurcated μ 2 -X⋯(C,C) bonds.
The identification of halogen bonded-intermediates is key to understanding the precise mechanism for generation I 5 − (and 8 2− ) ligands from 2 and metal-coordinated 3 .
Abstract Reactions of the [(tppm)Au 3 Cl ] [tppm = tris(diphenylphosphanyl)methane] precursor and Cu I ions with a stoichiometric amount corresponding linear mono‐ [HC 2 (C 6 H 4 ) n C 5 ; 1, 2] diacetylenes H; 1–3] that contain extended polyaryl moieties afford series luminescent heterometallic complexes common structural motif based on {(AuC Cu} cluster core. The obtained were characterized by using X‐ray crystallography NMR spectroscopy. All compounds studied display dual singlet triplet...
Homoleptic copper(i) complexes featuring disubstituted cyanamides were obtained and characterized using experimental methods their properties studied theoretically.
Abstract Reactions of [Cu(NCMe) 4 ] + with stoichiometric amount diphosphine R 2 P–(C 6 H ) n –P , ( = NC 1; Ph, 1, 2, 3) or tri‐phosphine 3, 5‐(PPh –C –) 3 ligands give the corresponding di‐ trinuclear copper(I) acetonitrile‐phosphine complexes 1 – 5 . Substitution labile acetonitrile groups chelating aromatic diimines 2′‐bipyridine (bpy), 10‐phenanthroline (phen), 5, 6‐dimethyl‐1, (dmp), 6‐dibromo‐1, (phenBr gives substituted compounds 16 In all each central Cu I atom has tetrahedral...
