There has been a renaissance in the interdisciplinary field of Molecular Magnetism since ~2000, due to discovery impressive properties and potential applications d- f-metal Single-Molecule Magnets (SMMs) Single-Ion (SIMs) or Monometallic Magnets. One consequences this an explosive growth synthetic molecular inorganic organometallic chemistry. In SMM SIM chemistry, organic ligands play decisive role, sometimes equally important that magnetic metal ion(s). bridging propagate strong...
Three field induced SMMs built from quasi-isotropic cations like CuII and MnII have been characterized, showing that relatively large clusters with quasi-negligible D different ground spin states, S = 3/2, 2 or 4, can also exhibit field-induced slow relaxation of magnetization.
A series of tetranuclear Cu2IILn2III (LnIII from LaIII to YbIII), double-stranded metallohelicates have been synthesized using a bis-bidentate flexible ligand obtained by condensing o-vanillin with 4,4′-oxydianiline. The complexes exhibit variety LnIII environments and decreasing coordination number along the several nitrato modes proved structural determination (1La), SmIII (4Sm), GdIII (5Gd), ErIII (9Er), YbIII (10Yb) derivatives. other members family (2Ce, 3Pr, 6Tb, 7Dy, 8Ho)...
Syntheses, crystal structures and characterization are reported for four new complexes [Cu4Br2(L)4]Br2 (1), [Ni4(NO3)2(L)4(H2O)](NO3)2 (2), [Co2(L)3](ClO4)3 (3) [Co(L)2](ClO4) (4), where L− is the monoanion of ditopic ligand N′-(1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene)pyridine-2-carbohydrazide (LH) built on a picolinoyl hydrazone core fragment, possessing bidentate tridentate coordination pocket. The tetranuclear cation 1·0.8H2O·MeOH strictly planar, rectangular [2 × 2] grid. Two 2.21011 ligands bridge...
The ac response of one isotropic GdIII and anisotropic DyIII induced SIMs their magnetically diluted analogous have been compared. different both complexes evidences the origin relaxation for cation.
A family of four Ln(III) complexes has been synthesized with the general formula [Ln2(NO3)4(L)2(S)] (Ln = Gd, Tb, Er, and S H2O; 1, 2 4, respectively/Ln Dy, MeOH, complex 3), where HL is flexible ditopic ligand N’-(1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene)pyridine-2-carbohydrazide. The structures isostructural MeOH/H2O solvates these were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. two LnIII ions are doubly bridged deprotonated oxygen atoms “head-to-head” 2.21011 (Harris notation) L¯ ligands, forming...
A new family of multidimensional lanthanide-derived systems using dppeO 2 as a ligand exhibits multiple properties such luminescence and field-induced slow relaxation the magnetization.

Abstract The reaction in basic media of manganese chloride with Schiff bases derived from the condensation o ‐vanillin different chiral/racemic aminoalcohols yielded a family complexes which nuclearity, symmetry and magnetic behavior is controlled by changing position chiral carbon. Chiral racemic clusters [Mn III 6 Mn II Na I ], 2 ] 3 metallic core have been structurally magnetically characterized. an odd number ligands exhibit anomalous mixing conformation. Related compounds reviewed.
