Roadkill is widely recognized as one of the primary negative effects roads on many wildlife species and also has socioeconomic impacts when they result in accidents. A comprehensive dataset roadkill locations essential to evaluate factors contributing risk enhance our comprehension its impact populations dimensions. We undertook a compilation records, encompassing both published unpublished data gathered from road surveys or opportunistic sources. GLOBAL ROADKILL DATA includes 208,570...
This paper analyzes the dynamics of population growth and urban expansion in city Xalapa, Mexico. It focuses on establishment informal settlements, which are one many threats to forest farmland conservation (although these settlements not only source problem). Spatial analysis data (using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) statistical modelling) showed that by 2007, 90 per cent land area municipality Xalapa had already been altered human activity. Abstract Roads affect wildlife in many ways, with roadkills probably the most conspicuous. In Mexico, there is increasing interest this effect on wildlife. Together, richness and abundance can be used to predict trends for wild populations, our study analyzes these variables rodents killed by vehicles trapped along a 14-km stretch of an A-type roadway Veracruz, from June 2010 March 2011. Our area had 2 habitat types: shrubland lava flow grassland. Over course study, we monitored highway car...
Wild edible fruits are a complement to the diet, generate income, and contain cultural values for local populations. In Mexico, their presence is threatened mainly by deforestation. In Latin America, including Mexico, the tremendous degradation of forests has drastically altered ecological, social and cultural contexts associated with them.Edible wild fungi form part eating subsistence strategy local inhabitants biocultural richness. This resource is currently at risk owing to growing demand for its gastronomic nutraceutical properties, because lack knowledge sustainable use.All this increases probability overexploiting or driving some species extinct, especially most...
The data presented in this article are related to the research entitled "Establishment of Aedes aegypti (L.) mountainous regions Mexico: Increasing number population at risk mosquito-borne disease and future climate conditions" (M. Equihua, S. Ibáñez-Bernal, G. Benítez, I. Estrada-Contreras, C.A. Sandoval-Ruiz, F.S. Mendoza-Palmero, 2016) [1]. This provides presence records shapefile format used generate maps potential distribution with different change scenarios as well each obtained raster...

En mostró patrón agrupado; 47 %...
The remains of vegetation in cities provide valuable environmental services. They contribute to the regulation it. This study evaluates role remnants cover and its impact on microclimate. Temperature has differential effects thermal comfort that were explored as perceived by people. Three neighborhoods with contrasting types urbanization, coffee plantations, bare soil documented. A perception survey was applied assess subjective environment. From satellite imagery Time series NDVI surface...
