N-substituted chitosan derivatives were synthesized through condensation with a number of selected aryl and heteroaryl aldehydes. The synthesis the amino-derivatives has been carried out by reductive amination sodium borohydride as reducing agent. Their structures characterized (FT-IR, 1HNMR, XRD). antimicrobial activity Chitosan Schiff’s base (CSB) investigated against four types bacteria two crop-threatening pathogenic fungi, results indicated that antibacterial antifungal activities are...
The intensive exposure of the liver cells to any type noxae, such as viruses, drugs, alcohols, and xenobiotics could induce hepatic inflammation through upregulation gene expression several fibrotic inflammatory mediators. So, our study assessed role silymarin on response induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) an example tissues in male rats. Forty-eight Wister rats (weight: 130 ± 10) were housed for 14 days then divided randomly into six groups: control, SLY: received only orally 12 weeks...
Chitosan was reacted with four concentrations (2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mmol) of glutamic acid resulting in types glutamic-chitosan hydrogels (GCs), the activity resulted compounds on removal copper(II) nickel(II) from wastewater were tested. The results indicated that by increasing concentration GCs-1 to GCs-4, efficiency removing Cu(II) Ni(II) decreased, which may be due a decrease pore size as result increased degree crosslinking.
Tyrosinase enzyme is a monophenol monoxygenase enzyme, which plays an important role in human as rate limiting step for different specific metabolic pathways, well its useful application industry and agriculture. So this study was carried out to test the effect of newly prepared compounds containing 1,3,4-oxadiazoles with substituted groups on tyrosinase activity, hoping use them treatment some diseases arising from activity disorders such Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, autism,...
5-(1,2,3,4-Tetrahydroxybutyl)-2-methylfuran-3-carbohydrazide (2) was condensed with a variety of ketones to afford carbohydrazide derivatives 3–6. Acetylation 3–5 afforded the acetyl 7–9, while periodate oxidation 3–6 formyl 10–13. Acid catalyzed condensation thiosemicarbazide or o-tolylthiosemicarbazide prepared aldehydes 10–12 gave thiosemicarbazone 14–19. Cyclization latter acetic anhydride 4,5-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazolyl 20–25. On other hand, p-tosylhydrazine p-tosylhydrazone 26–28. 26–28...
Elevated Arsenic and Chromium levels in surface ground waters are a significant health concern several parts of the world. Chitosan quinoxaline Schiff base (CsQ) cross-linked chitosan (CsQG) were prepared to adsorb both Arsenate [As(V)] [Cr(VI)] ions. The thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) used investigate bases (CsQG). UV-VIS spectra showed shift wavelength area modified polymer, indicating reaction occurrence, besides...
