A gold(I) catalysed reaction between N-propargylic β-enaminones and arynes was developed to access 3-methylene-1-pyrrolines. The title compounds were obtained in 57-78% yields. This is useful for the generation of substituted 1-pyrrolines exhibiting significant molecular complexity.

An aqueous solution containing ferric chloride, acetic acid and 2-hydroxypyridine results in the solid-state isolation of an unusual mixed-ligand trinuclear iron(III) complex [Fe3(μ3-O)(μ2-CH3COO)6(C5H5NO)2(H2O)]ClO4·4H2O, 1, where iron-coordinated water ligand forms a hydrogen-bonded tetramer with three other solvent molecules; Fe3 clusters aggregate to {Fe3}nvia N–H⋯O type hydrogen bonds, forming zig-zag chainlike structure.

Single crystals of an organic nonlinear optical material γ-glycine have been synthesized by slow evaporation technique from aqueous solutions α-glycine and potassium bromide at room temperature. crystal X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the growth γ phase glycine. The powder grown was recorded indexed. Functional groups present in sample were identified FTIR spectral analysis. absorption studies show that UV cut-off wavelength is 238 nm has a wide transparency window. thermal...

Potassium salts of phenolate based polydentate xanthate ligands 4,4'-bis(2-dithiocarbonatobenzylideneamino)diphenyl ether () and 4,4'-bis(2-dithiocarbonatonaphthylmethylideneamino)diphenyl have been synthesized characterized, prior to use. The reaction or with M(OAc)2 in Et3N affords access a rare series binuclear metallomacrocyclic complexes the type [M2-μ(2)-bis-(κ(2)S,S-xan(1)/xan(2))] which quickly forms [2 : 2] N,O-bidentate Schiff base macrocyclic [M2-μ(2)-bis-(κ(2)N,O-L(1)/L(2))] ( =...

Zero-dimensional (0D) metal halide hybrids with high exciton binding energy are excellent materials for lighting applications. Controlling/modulating the structure of constituent units allows tunability their photoluminescence properties. 0D manganese currently attracting research efforts in applications due to eco-friendly and strong emission. However, structural transformation-induced photophysical properties has rarely been reported. Herein, we demonstrate a rational synthetic strategy...

Multimetallic halide hybrids are attractive for the fundamental understanding of interacting excitons. However, realizing that incorporate multiple heterometal centers has been synthetically challenging. This further limits access to gaining physical insight into electronic coupling mechanism between constituent metal units. Reported herein is an emissive heterometallic hybrid, synthesized by codoping (with Mn2+, Sb3+) a 2D host (C6H22N4CdCl6) shows strong dopant-dopant interaction. Here,...

Abstract Azido‐copper(II) and ‐copper(I) complexes of 1‐alkyl‐2‐[( o ‐thioalkyl)phenylazo]imidazole (SRaaiNR′) have been prepared studied. Complex 2 [Cu(SRaaiNR′)(μ 1,1 ‐N 3 )(N )] dimerises via end‐to‐end (μ 1,3 )‐N to form a tetrameric structure. Azido‐copper(I) the ligands are obtained as MeOH‐bridged dimers, [Cu(SRaaiNR′)(N )(μ‐OHMe)] ( ). The electronic spectra suggest that small reorganisation energy (0.08 eV) is associated with change in configuration, structure oxidation state from...
