We report here on the reproducibility of measurements a second-order gradiometer superconducting quantum interference device magnetometer two different yttrium iron garnet spheres, both having diameter 1 mm: 1) National Institute Standards and Technology magnetic moment standard reference material (SRM) 2) commercial sample. It has been suggested that rotating sample rod around its axis can move center toward coil. The observed value will be theoretically minimum when radial offset is 0,...
We report here on sample length dependence measurements in a second-order gradiometer superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer of pure nickel (Ni) cylinders, having diameter 1 mm and 1-7 mm. The measured magnetic moment per unit mass significantly decreases with the Ni cylinder, when field 7 T was applied parallel to long axis cylinder. As an example, for 5 cylinder is between 97% 94% that number depending specific type used. magnitude decrease also depends coil which...
