Abstract This study was aimed at isolation and characterization of natural antifungal compounds for grain mold, a key parasitic fungal disease sorghum. Pseudomonas fluorescens strain isolated from rhizosphere groundnut crop selected as source. Its biocontrolling ability assessed by testing some biochemical attributes such phosphate ‐ solubilization, HCN, NH 3 , indole‐3‐acetic acid, siderophore production. The showed positive result all except revealing its suitability further study....

Abstract Oxindoline containing thiazolidine‐4‐ones linked triazole hybrids (24 a – l) series were synthesized by multistep synthesis and tested for their cytotoxic activity against four human cancer cell lines. Significantly higher susceptibility was observed in liver (HepG2) cells. Among them conjugates 24 c e exhibited promising cytotoxicity with IC 50 values of 1.64 μM, 2.07 μM respectively when compared to the standard 5‐fluorouracil (IC =20.8 μM) HepG2 line. Later on, these compounds...

The study was aimed to identify cytotoxic leads from Abutilon indicum leaves for treating glioblastoma. petroleum ether extract, methanol extract (AIM), chloroform and ethyl acetate sub-fractions (AIM-C AIM-E, respectively) prepared AIM were tested cytotoxicity on U87MG human glioblastoma cells using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. These extracts exhibited considerable activity (IC50 values of 42.6–64.5 μg/mL). most active AIM-C fraction repeatedly...

In this study, investigation was carried out under in vitro as well field conditions to explore inhibitors of sorghum grain mold. Phytochemicals, viz., methyl trans-p-coumarate (AIC-1), caffeate (AIC-2), syringic acid (AIC-3), and ursolic (UA), at different concentrations (500, 750, 1000 ppm) were tested on spore germination Alternaria alternata, Curvularia lunata, Fusarium moniliforme, F. pallidoroseum, Helminthosporium sp. Significant growth inhibition (P < 0.001) observed against all...

Abstract Inhibiting nitric oxide (NO) or its production is found to be of therapeutic benefit. To discover natural small molecule inhibitors NO production, a bioassay‐ and LC/MS‐guided chemical investigation was done on the metabolites endophytic fungus isolated from fresh Piper nigrum fruits. The pure strain identified as Penicillium polonicum by 16S rDNA sequence comparison. culture broth extract P. (EEPP) exhibited significant reduction (Griess method) in LPS‐stimulated RAW 264.7 cells (...

A wide array of therapeutic effects has been exhibited by compounds isolated from natural sources. "Bio-actives endophytic origin" is a recently explored area that came into recognition over the last 2 decades. Literature search on secondary metabolites endophytes have shown several pharmacologically active especially anti-inflammatory compounds, which reviewed in present paper. The article structured based chemical classification metabolites. were identified to possess activity against...

Background: Epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase (EGFR-TK) is a well-known hallmark of oral and oropharyngeal cancers, as its overexpression leads to poor prognosis malignancy. The activating EGFR mutations (particularly T790M L858R double mutant) are major challenge causing drug resistance, especially in the treatment cancers. Methodology: This paper an effort exploit both structure-based ligand-based pharmacophore modeling discover EGFR-TK inhibitors, which show inhibition...
