As radiation is an essential tool in various technological applications, searching for a suitable shield urgent demand to minimize its damaging effects on human beings. In this research article, we report the shielding properties of some commercially available polymers namely poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide), polyethylene terephthalate, polystyrene, and polycarbonate (denoted by P1, P2, P3, P4, respectively). The gamma ray attenuation parameters are calculated using Geant4 simulation, PHITS code,...

Abstract Geant4 simulations and several theoretical approaches such as WinXCOM ESTAR were used in this work to understand the role of heavy metal oxides on radiation attenuation features newly developed TBBE-X glasses which are form 19.5TeO 2 -30B O 3 -30BaO-0.5Er -20X. Here X stands for SrO, Al , CdO, ZnO, PbO Bi . According (modifier oxide), glass samples labelled TBBE-S, TBBE-A, TBBE-C, TBBE-Z, TBBE-P, TBBE-B. Various mass coefficient (MAC), buildup factors, equivalent effective atomic...

Abstract This study focuses on the effect of Ag 2 O/V O 5 substitution radiation shielding ability tellurite glass system with chemical composition xAg + 40TeO (60 − x)V 0 < x 50 mol%. FLUKA code was successfully employed for simulation interaction parameters systems. The results simulations were comparable predications theory. Thereafter, several empirical equations used to systems against neutrons and charged particles. indicate that linear attenuation coefficient changes energy reaches...

In this study, the phase transformations, crystallization kinetics and dissolution mechanism of β (Mg17Al12) in magnesium alloy AZ91 were investigated by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry dilatometry. The results indicate that undergoes a transformation during aging, discontinuous precipitation at 150 °C grain boundaries another continuous 350 within grains. activation energy reaction under non-isothermal conditions is 116.781 kJ/mol, while it 129.7383...
