Radiotherapy plays an important role in cancer treatment and has some challenges, such as tumor tissue radioresistance damage of healthy cells. Radiosensitizers are intended to increase the susceptibility cells ionizing radiation enhance effectiveness radiotherapy. Cerium oxide nanoparticles (CONPs) exhibit properties radiosensitizers radioprotectors. The CONPs were found radiosensitivity Hela simultaneously protect from oxidative stress. results show enzyme-like ROS inhibition. inhibition...

Cerium dioxide nanoparticles are a promising material in many industries, for example, catalysis, chemical industry, biomedicine. ions located on the surface of easily enter into redox reactions. To increase activity such nanoparticles, it is necessary to nonstoichiometry by increasing ratio Ce3+/Ce4+ ions. The non-stoichiometric cerium an important issue their catalytic activity. Annealing reducing atmosphere has been proposed as method concentration Ce3+/Ce4+.

Abstract Gd 2 O 3 , SiO -Gd and -MnO nanoparticles were produced by the method of pulsed electron evaporation oxide targets with condensation vapors in a vacuum. These materials are considered as probable contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The exhibit rather high r1 r2 relaxivities. results point to potential using nanocrystals MRI diagnosis. mesoporous nanostructures could be multimodal theranostic agents.
