Predictable stereoselective formation of supramolecular assembly is generally believed to be an important but complicated process. Here, we show that point chirality a ligand decisively influences its behavior. We designed three closely related chiral ligands with different chiralities, and observe their self-assembly into europium (Eu) tetrametallic tetrahedral cages. One exhibits highly diastereoselective homochiral (either ΔΔΔΔ or ΛΛΛΛ) Eu cages whereas the two other ligands, approaches...
The self-assembly of lanthanide (europium or lanthanium) bimetallic triple helicates from two closely related chiral ligands resulted in a very different supramolecular phenomenon. One gave rise to significantly diastereoselective formation helicate, whereas the other led breaking generate mixture P and M diastereomers ∼1 : 1.1 ratio. first X-ray crystal structure ligand based triple-helicate indicates that successive CH-π interactions were found maintain helical structure.
Abstract Controlled formation of desired lanthanide supramolecular complexes is challenging because the difficulties in predicting coordination geometry, as well a labile number. Herein, we explore effect ionic radii and linker length on species formation. A helicate-to-tetrahedron transformation occurred between [Ln 2 L1 3 ] 4 6 (Ln = La, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb Lu). For six ions, unfavored tetrahedron [La can only be observed concentrated mixture with helicate where no pure was isolated via...
Construction of lanthanide heterometallic complex is important for engineering multifunction molecular containers. However, it remains a challenge because the similar ionic radii lanthanides. Herein we attempt to prepare chiral tetrahedra. Upon crystallization with mixture [Eu2 L3 ] and [Ln2 (Ln=Gd, Tb Dy) helicates, Eun Ln'4-n (L6 ) (n=0-4) tetrahedra was prepared. Selective formation tetrahedron observed as MS deconvolution results deviated from statistical results. The found be sensitive...
In the absence of a mandatory reporting (MR) structure, it is unclear how nurses perceive or exercise their role in child protection. This study examined knowledge and perceptions protection MR among working Hong Kong. cross-sectional web-based survey used Child Abuse Report Intention Scale to measure nurses' attitudes, perceived norms, control, intention report suspected maltreatment. Nurses also indicated if they support provide an explanation for preference. Quantitative data were...
